The WWE put up a live event in Dayton, which was headlined by an incredible WWE Championship Match.

With multiple titles defended on the card, the show received high praise from the fans—the main event of the evening in particular. So, without further ado, here are the complete results for WWE’s SmackDown live event in Dayton, Ohio (March 12th, 2018)—


#1 Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Dolph Ziggler

Shinsuke Nakamura came out to a huge pop from the Dayton fans, as they sang along to The Artist’s theme.

Nakamura put on a rather dominant performance at the event; beating Dolph Ziggler from pillar to post over the course of this matchup. In the end, Nakamura hit Ziggler with the Kinshasa for the pinfall victory.

#2 Jinder Mahal vs. Sin Cara

Jinder Mahal faced Sin Cara in what was yet another dominant showing for the former WWE Champion.

“The Modern Day Maharaja” utilized his size advantage to overwhelm his smaller opponent early and often. While Sin Cara did have his moments midway through the match, Mahal regained control and eventually bested Sin Cara in the end.

#3 Zack Ryder, Tyler Breeze & Fandango vs. Mojo Rawley, Mike Kanellis & Primo Colon

Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango) teamed up with Zack Ryder to take on Mojo Rawley, Mike Kanellis & Primo Colon.

Rawley, Kanellis & Colon seemed to be in control for the better part of this matchup. Nevertheless, Ryder & Breezango worked their way back into the bout and picked up the victory in what was a highly-competitive matchup.

Result: Zack Ryder, Tyler Breeze & Fandango def. Mojo Rawley, Mike Kanellis & Primo Colon

#4 The Usos vs. The New Day vs. Rusev & Aiden English vs. Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin

Jimmy & Jey Uso put their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships on the line against The New Day, Rusev & Aiden English, and Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin in this Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match.

The Usos dominated most sequences in this showdown, and thoroughly bested their rival Tag Teams once again. The Usos taunted their foes as fans cheered aloud during the highly entertaining, fast-paced match. The blue brand’s Tag Team Champions then continued their verbal assault on their downed foes after the match ended, simultaneously trash-talking the fans.

Result: The Usos def. The New Day, Rusev & Aiden English, and Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin


#5 Randy Orton vs. Bobby Roode

WWE United States Champion Randy Orton defended his title against Bobby Roode.

The matchup is said to have received incredibly loud reactions from the fans, as both Superstars engaged in a grueling showdown over the US title. Orton seemed to have lost control of the match, in the face of Roode’s mat wrestling maneuvers.

Regardless, in the end, Orton pulled out an RKO Outta’ Nowhere for the pinfall victory; notching up a successful title defense.

#6 Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch & Naomi vs. Natalya, Carmella & Lana vs. The Riott Squad

Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch & Naomi put on a one-sided showing against the team of Natalya, Carmella & Lana on the one hand and The Riott Squad on the other.

Although The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan) did have their moments in the matchup, Flair, Lynch & Naomi proved to be craftier than their foes; utilizing their technical wrestling maneuvers to win in the end.

Result: Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch & Naomi def. Natalya, Carmella & Lana, and The Riott Squad

#7 AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

WWE Champion AJ Styles put on what’s being heralded by fans as one of the best house show matches this year, adding to the excitement at the event after an electrifying US title match which took place earlier in the evening.

Styles and Baron Corbin engaged in back-and-forth banter over the course of this matchup, as the duo seemed to pull off a few interesting spots over the course of the match. While Owens & Zayn didn’t have much impact in the matchup, inside the ring, they did engage in considerable banter with the fans ringside.

In the end, Styles did enough to win the match and successfully retained his WWE Championship.
