AJ Styles retained his WWE Championship at Extreme Rules
AJ Styles defeated Rusev at Extreme Rules and continues to dominate as the WWE Champion on SmackDown Live, but after holding the Championship for more than eight months, Styles will be looking for another challenger for his title heading into the Biggest Party of the Summer.

It has already been announced that Styles will address the WWE Universe tonight on SmackDown Live and possibly reveal his path to SummerSlam, but since Rusev and Aiden English failed to get the job done at Extreme Rules so they will be sent to the back of the queue.
Speculation suggests that Samoa Joe could be the man that steps up to the "Face that runs the place" and this could be the beginning of a fantasy feud ahead of SummerSlam so will Joe make his presence known tonight?
