Shinsuke Nakamura

Nakamura went for the low blow early on and Jeff dodged it with ease. The match ended up outside for a second before Jeff failed to hit the Swanton bomb and we headed for a commercial break. We returned to see Jeff on the mat and Nakamura in control. The champ locked in the guillotine and Jeff seemed to be fading. Nakamura missed a knee drop and Hardy took advantage of the slip up with a jawbreaker and a splash.

Nakamura took out Hardy with a kick to the back of the neck and set him up on the apron for the knee to the chest as we broke for commercials. Hardy hit the whisper in the wind as we returned but it resulted in only a two count. Nakamura dodged the twist of fate and delivered a knee to the gut of Hardy. Nakamura hit a single leg backbreaker and hard kicked out as the match went on.

Jeff countered the Kinshasa with a sling blade and took a kick to the face before he could deliver the Swanton Bomb. Hardy hit the twist of fate and then the Swanton Bomb but the pin was broken by Randy Orton. The Viper sent Hardy into the steel steps and onto the barricades as the match was called off due to disqualification. Randy hooked his finger into Jeff's ear piercing and pulled on it before throwing him over the announce table. Orton hit the snake eyes DDT.

Result: Shinsuke Nakamura retained the US title after Jeff Hardy won via DQ.
