Behind the scenes, Big E had issued a challenge for a Fall Counts Anywhere match to Sheamus for next week on SmackDown.
Sheamus vs. Shorty G on SmackDown
Sheamus started off strong but Shorty G hit a German Suplex using the Irishman's momentum against him. Gable went for a pin but Sheamus kicked out before dodging a Moonsault.
Sheamus hit a Brogue kick and picked up the easy win within minutes.

Kevin Owens was backstage on SmackDown before his interview with Alexa Bliss and behind him, on a monitor, the Fiend showed up. Owens came out to the ring to host a special KO Show before asking Bliss to join her in the ring.
Alexa joined KO and Owens asked her about the weird behaviour but Bliss didn't know what he was talking about. She then said 'people change' and advised Kevin to do so as well.
Alexa then talked about what the Fiend is like in person and Owens said she was brainwashed. Alexa said she was cleansed by him before saying he was there.
