WWE Smackdown Spoilers: July 16, 2015

WWE Smackdown this week featured an exciting array of matches

This week’s Smackdown show was taped from Birmingham, Alabama. Here are the spoilers from tonight’s tapings:

The show kicks off with Bray Wyatt cutting a promo in the ring. Reigns interrupts the promo on the big screen brags about beating Wyatt all over Atlanta at RAW but says Bray ran. Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus and Big Show is announced as the main event.

Match 1: The Lucha Dragons vs The New Day (with Prime Time Players on commentary)

The Lucha Dragons were good but it wasn’t enough as Big E picked up the win via pinfall for the team.

Match 2: Bad News Barrett vs Jack Swagger

Barrett’s “Bullhammer” proved to be too much for Swagger as “The Bare Knuckle Brawler” picked up an easy win. R-Truth came out after the match to cut a promo on Barrett and their match at the Battleground pre-show.

Match 3: Cesaro vs Rusev

In what was a very lengthy match, Cesaro got the better of Rusev. The match was one of the best matches of the evening so far, and both men matched up well to each other. In the end, Cesaro picked up the win.

Match 4: Stardust vs Neville

Neville defeats Stardust

RAW recaps were displayed. They aired a recap of the NXT Divas debuting on RAW. Sasha Banks, Tamina Snuka and Naomi cut a backstage promo and revealed their name to be Team BAD for Best at Dominating.

Match 5: Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs Big Show and Sheamus

This was a surprisingly good tag match to be the main event and Ambrose looked the best. Reigns and Ambrose looked great and Ambrose hit an especially good looking DDT on Show. Show also put Ambrose through the announcers table. Reigns and Ambrose came back to clean house.

The match despite being a good one ended with a DQ victory to Reigns and Ambrose, when Bray Wyatt interfered coming under the table. Reigns hit a Superman punch on Wyatt to end SmackDown.
