Back in late April, WWE saw the end of The Imperium in its then form, after Ludwig Kaiser turned on Giovanni Vinci and kicked him out of the faction, following a loss to the New Day. This move had been approved by The Imperium's leader, Gunther, and the 34-year-old hasn't been seen on WWE TV since the beatdown.
Ludwig Kaiser recently opened up about turning on his former partner and what led to his actions. He said it was a much-needed move to pursue a singles career and didn't give any hint of reconciling with Giovanni Vinci.
"Yes, it was even sorely needed. He had more of the team than I did. It was kept below, because you want to see more of me in the next few years. I have to concentrate on myself, that’s the way it is in wrestling. There is always a compromise in a team. You can never do what you want. I was always convinced that I would do everything to become a big name in WWE. Even in view of my father’s legacy, it was important for me to do my thing alone. You also saw it immediately. Within a few weeks, my stock has risen extremely," Kaiser said in an interview with Spox, via Ringside News.
Coming off an injury, Ludwig Kaiser has re-focused on his feud with Sheamus, which started back in May. The two collided on WWE RAW this past Monday and their feud is seemingly far from over.

Ludwig Kaiser expects to be part of WWE Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event
WWE is preparing for the next premium live event, Bash in Berlin, which will take place in the German capital on Saturday, August 31.
Gunther will be part of the event, as he will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton in a rematch from the King of the Ring final back in late May. As for Ludwig Kaiser, he expects to be part of the match card and compete in front of his friends and family.
"I’m on the right track. Bash in Berlin is not in danger, I can reassure all German fans on that... I have earned the status that I can tear the place down on my own. As the only German, I want to show myself to my family and friends, who saw me fight in front of 35 people ten years ago. That is important to me," Kaiser said in the interview, via SeScoops.
Based on what the WWE Universe has seen so far, the most likely scenario is to have a match with Sheamus that would put an end to their current feud.
