Jade Cargill sustained multiple injuries following a backstage assault last week on SmackDown, and she is expected to miss significant time. It appears that her injuries are legit, and WWE used the backstage assault to write her off for quite a while, as she is expected to miss more than three months.
If this is the case, she should be back during the Road to WrestleMania 41, and she might be available for the Elimination Chamber premium live event on Saturday, March 1. The question remains, though, on who attacked her backstage on SmackDown.
A name that could have assaulted the SmackDown superstar is Charlotte Flair. The Queen has been out of action for nearly a year, recovering from a severe knee injury, but she is getting closer to her return. A feud with Cargill could be the best way for WWE to bring her back smoothly before making her a title contender again. Thus, the former SmackDown Women's Champion could return to the blue brand and reveal she was behind the assault on the Women's Tag Team Champion.
That way, she could return as a heel and start a feud with Jade Cargill, setting the stage for a blockbuster match at WrestleMania 41. It will also be a great way for WWE to move Cargill to singles competition, as she has been part of the tag team division since moving to WWE in early 2024.

WWE has yet to decide on the Women's Tag Team Championship after Jade Cargill's injury
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair are the Women's Tag Team Champions, but the former's injury forces the WWE to decide on Bianca Belair.
The creative team could find a replacement for Cargill on SmackDown, who will team up with Belair and allow her to retain the titles.
The other scenario is that The EST of WWE will be forced to vacate the titles, and new champions will be crowned. It appears that WWE will make a decision after Survivor Series, where Bianca Belair is part of Team Ripley in the Women's WarGames Match against Team Morgan.
It is also likely that either Naomi or Bayley (both faces on SmackDown) might replace Jade Cargill as a Women's Tag Team Champion next to Bianca Belair.
