WWE: Sting wants to wrestle Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31

Sting wants to face Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31

One last big match with the Undertaker

After being revealed as one of the exclusive characters on WWE 2515 game, Sting has expressed his desire to compete against the Undertaker in a match at the next Wrestlemania.

The former 8-time WCW champion has revealed that he is ready for one last big match at the grandest stage of wrestling entertainment against the Wrestlemania Phenom himself.

In a promotional interview with Mirror.co.uk, the Blade Runner stated that for the first time in his 30-year-career, he is all in for it to take his first step into the company he never wreslted for and what better than to announce himself at the WM31 event which will take place in Santa Clara, California next year.

“I've made it clear I'd love to have one last hurrah, one last big match hopefully. And of course I've been outspoken about Undertaker being the opponent," he said.

"I know what happened at WrestleMania where Brock Lesnar broke his streak. I think, or at least I'm hoping, that Taker's still going to come back and that he's not done. If he's not done, and he would consider doing it, I'd love to work with him one time.

"I'd love to wrestle him one time before I call it quits," added the 55-year-old.

Ready to wrestle in the WWE for the first time

Sting was asked about the date and place about his dream bout against Taker to which he replied, "How about San Francisco, 2015, in April?"

The former TNA superstar was also questioned whether he would be appearing live on WWE TV to promote the newly launched 2K15 game.

"All for it, just put it that way. I'm all for it," he replied.

Even after being an icon in the world of pro wrestling, Sting never had a stint with the WWE brand in his illustrious career. He has been recently linked to the company as there have been widespread discussion about both him and WWE negotiating a deal.

"I've done so many things in the wrestling business, but the one thing I'd never done was wrestle or be a part of the WWE family," said Sting. "I didn't want too hang it all up and retire and disappear again without having done that in some capacity."

With Sting all up for it and WWE doing some off the show work recently, the skies do look bright for the WWE universe who can positively hope for their dream match to come true at this year’s Wrestlemania.
