Big name almost sure of being at WWE WrestleMania 32

HBK and Stone Col sharing a candid moment

Retired WWE superstar ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin certainly won’t be making an appearance in the ring as a wrestler for the upcoming WrestleMania 32 at the AT&T Stadium, but that does not mean he’ll be completely out of the picture when the highly anticipated event approaches this April.

The Wrestling Observer notes that WWE doesn’t have a set idea for Austin on WrestleMania 32 and haven’t even approached the wrestler yet, but expect that to change soon since the event is happening in Stone Cold’s backyard of Texas.

The man himself stated that he’s likely to appear on WrestleMania while speaking to Jim Ross on his podcast, saying: “Yeah, I’m, at this point, 99 percent sure that I’ll be (at WrestleMania 32). In what form or capacity, or whatever, I have no idea. We haven’t discussed anything creatively. One idea makes sense for me to be there, which I obviously can’t talk about now, but I’d love to do this one endeavor that they’re talking about. But whether I’m in the ring or part of the show remains to be seen.”

Austin has appeared on WrestleMania as a referee numerous times since his retirement, but whether he’ll appear in another role this year remains to be seen. Shawn Michaels was also offered a role to appear as a special guest referee, but HBK turned that down and now, WWE may have pitched that idea to Stone Cold.
