WWE has the chance to create a brand new star!
Vince McMahon is someone who, once committed to a vision, is hardly ever willing to let go of it. By all indications, he wants a match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania next year, and he is committed to see it through, to the end.

So instead of putting the belt on a full-time member of the roster, he is likely to allow Lesnar to carry it all the way to Wrestlemania in New Orleans. This is a bad decision, especially because it sets a bad example for the full-time roster.

By putting the Universal Championship on Samoa Joe or Braun Strowman, WWE can create a brand new unbeatable monster who could take Brock Lesnar's place. Even Roman Reigns, appearing with the championship on RAW, on a weekly basis, would be an improvement to the current situation.
Let's hope Lesnar drops the championship, and leaves for the time being, to pursue his goals in the UFC.
