It's very evident that WWE is aware of the fans' disdain for Lesnar as Universal Champion. He hasn't defended it since the end of April and WWE is playing off the fact that Lesnar doesn't care about the fans nor the title, but simply cashing in a fat paycheck.

Lesnar will reach 504 days as champion at SummerSlam and its high time there's a payoff to the story. Many fans are in fact expecting Lesnar to lose just like they did at WrestleMania 34, but this time around, it's time to put a halt to this once and for all.

It's better for WWE, the fans and for Brock Lesnar to lose the title so he can go and train for his upcoming UFC Heavyweight Championship fight against Daniel Cormier.
