#2 Should happen at SummerSlam 2021: Bobby Lashley retains the WWE Championship

At SummerSlam 2021, Bobby Lashley will put his WWE Championship on the line against Goldberg. The latter recently returned on RAW and demanded a championship match against Lashley. We hope that both superstars will engage in a good match that will hopefully last at least as long as their promos on the Red brand.

It is important that Bobby Lashley retains the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. The creative team have invested a lot in scripting his dominance on RAW. It would all be for nothing if he loses to Goldberg after taking a couple of Spears. The WCW icon doesn’t need another title run, but Lashley might never get another chance to dominate the world championship picture in WWE.

Brock Lesnar returns as Bobby Lashley’s next challenger

Yes, the idea of Brock Lesnar's return seems far-fetched, but hear it out before dismissing the same. Ever since Lashley first arrived in WWE, fans have been itching to see him engage in a good feud with Lesnar. Even The All Mighty admitted that he wants to face The Beast Incarnate. It is a great opportunity to book two superstars who share similar wrestling and MMA backgrounds.

If Goldberg is involved in a title match on the back of an argument that revolves around how big of a draw he is, then certainly bringing Brock Lesnar back at SummerSlam would be a great business decision.

This is the one feud in which WWE can go all out in making it seem as real as it can get. They can take it further up a notch by allowing just this one match to take place in an octagon, giving us a proper fight between two top former MMA athletes.

Of course, that won’t happen, but can you imagine how realistic it would have looked despite a pre-determined ending? More than anything, Brock Lesnar’s return at SummerSlam will help WWE retain attention even if CM Punk returns to pro wrestling on AEW Rampage.
