The reunited team of The Miz and John Morrison has managed to gain the attention of the WWE Universe. They have a sense of familiarity with the audience and are quickly rising through the ranks in the SmackDown Tag Team division. They even went on to beat the reigning tag team champions -- Big E and Kofi Kingston -- on two occasions in singles matches.

Following that, The Miz and Morrison defeated the team of Heavy Machinery (Otis and Tucker), Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado), and The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) in a fatal four-way tag team match to earn a shot at The New Day’s titles. The two teams will lock horns at the upcoming PPV and Miz and Morrison should walk out of the arena as the Champions by the end of the night.

Between the New Day, The Usos, and The Revival, the Blue brand often finds itself repeating the same storyline over and over again. Hence, a victory for The Miz and Morrison will ensure that the creatives will have something new to work with.
