Without giving away any possible spoilers, let’s just say the SmackDown Women’s Championship match for WrestleMania 36 is reportedly up in the air with six weeks to go until the event.

Bayley has held the title since reclaiming it from Charlotte Flair on an episode of SmackDown in October 2019, making her the longest-reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion in the title’s three-and-a-half-year history.

There has been speculation ever since Bayley moved to the ‘main roster’ from NXT in the summer of 2016 that WWE could book a rivalry between the former NXT Women's Champion and her long-time friend, Sasha Banks.

However, although the two women competed against each other in five singles matches during their time on Monday Night RAW, they have still never met one-on-one at a WWE PPV event.

With that being said, let’s predict that WWE will finally start building towards Bayley vs. Banks after Super ShowDown, with Naomi simply providing a short-term challenge to the SmackDown Women’s Champion on the road to WrestleMania.

Prediction: Bayley def. Naomi
