Kevin Owens is a former Universal Champion, but it's hard to remember back to a few years ago when Owens was the one who cashed in on Finn Balor's injury and lifted the vacated title after interference from Triple H.

Owens has had a rough three years ever since this title loss, to the point where he lost his Championship in a matter of seconds to Goldberg and then never received a rematch. He has been fired from SmackDown Live a number of times by Shane McMahon and never truly fitted in on Monday Night Raw.

Owens was only recently drafted back over to the flagship show and it appears that Raw is finding it hard to fit him into their show. Owens only really fitted in anywhere when he was on NXT and it seemed that he was able to truly express his character.

Perhaps a return to NXT and a repackage or even a reinvention of his character could be what he needs right now and that could start by helping NXT to win at Survivor Series.
