The Miz (C) vs Dolph Ziggler (Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship)
Ziggler went for a Superkick as soon as the match started but Miz managed to avoid it, which Ziggler followed by a takedown. Miz rose up out of it and went for an early Skull Crushing Finale which Ziggler dodged and tried to follow up with a Zig Zag but Miz held onto the rope.
Miz then sent Ziggler crashing out of the ring and followed it up with a basement dropkick. Miz then followed Ziggler out of the ring and hit a boot to the face but it didn’t keep Ziggler down for long. Ziggler sent Miz crashing face first into one of the ladders standing at ringside. Miz got up and hit Ziggler with a ladder shot to the gut before trying to drive the ladder right into Ziggler’s abdomen. Ziggler, thankfully for him managed to dodge it as Miz hit the steel steps instead.
Ziggler then put Miz’s head in between the ladder and tried to sandwich the Miz but Miz avoided it and tripped Ziggler who crashed face first into the ladder. Miz then climbed back into the ring for a breather. Ziggler tried to climb into the ring but Miz hit a dropkick to the ladder and sent it crashing into Ziggler’s head.
Miz then joined Ziggler at ringside and attempted to counter a Zig-Zag into a powerbomb right into the ladder but Dolph managed to counter the powerbomb and hit Miz with a Tornado DDT right into the ladder.
With The Miz down, Ziggler brought a ladder into the ring. As Ziggler looked to set it up, Miz hit Ziggler with a dropkick from behind. With Ziggler in the corner, Miz set up the ladder onto the ropes which he dropkicked right into Ziggler before climbing onto it and attempting a suplex off it. Ziggler kicked Miz off, however, as Miz hit the ladder face first. Ziggler followed it up with an elbow drop.
Ziggler then set up the ladder but Miz intervened as he started climbing. Ziggler hopped off and clotheslined the Miz out of the ring before climbing again. Just as Ziggler reached top, Miz came back in and tipped the ladder over as Ziggler went neck first into the top rope.
Miz then set the ladder on Ziggler as he reeled in the corner and hit a couple of running dropkicks. As Miz went for the third, Ziggler sent the ladder crashing into Miz’s head.
Ziggler then set up the ladder again as he started to climb. Miz got up at this point and climbed as well. They traded punches but Miz got smashed right off the ladder. As Ziggler reached for the belt, Miz tied Ziggler’s leg to the ladder, of sorts and drove him off the ladder. Miz then sent Ziggler knee first into the ladder. An undeterred Miz, smashed Ziggler’s knee into the ladder repeatedly as he went or both of Ziggler’s legs.
Miz then tied Ziggler’s leg through the ladder and hit a devastating looking Figure 4 leg lock right through the ladder. Miz then went to finish Ziggler off with a Skull Crushing Finale onto the ladder but Ziggler somehow dodged and went for a Superkick. However, Dolph’s leg just couldn’t manage it. Miz then hit the Skull Crushing Finale onto the ladder.
Miz set up the ladder again and he was on the verge of pulling the belt off when Ziggler tipped the ladder over with Miz hanging from the belt. Unbelievable. Ziggler then sent Miz crashing off and onto the mat before he himself set up the ladder and tried his best to climb the ladder. Miz came back in at the last moment and hit a slingshot powerbomb into the ladder which was set up in the corner.
Miz then set up two ladders as he tried to hop and reach the ladder. Ziggler climbed the second ladder and climbed up too. The two traded blows on top of the ladder as the cried went nuts, chanting for both Ziggler and Miz. Ziggler finally managed to throw Miz off the ladder with a headbutt. As Dolph looked like he was about to win, Miz climbed back up and hit two low blows to Ziggler, who finally crashed down onto the mat for the last time in this match.
Miz then climbed up and deservedly took the belt and retained his championship.

The Miz cut an epic promo after the match thanking Daniel Bryan for motivating him and calling for Ziggler to receive a participation trophy and berating the crowd.
