WWE TLC 2017: 5 things that should happen at TLC

TLC 2017 is set to be one of WWE's weirdest pay-per-views. It has an incredibly stacked main event, a supernatural clash, three Cruiserweight segments including a PowerPoint presentation, of all things and three women's matches.

But among all of that, what are the five things that absolutely should happen at TLC 2017?

#5 The Shield need to win

WWE has brought back together one of the most popular factions in modern wrestling. The company has stacked the odds against them and then some, by adding Kane to the mix.

There is absolutely no point in doing any of this if they don't intend to have The Shield dramatically overcome the odds during the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match and emerge from the carnage as the victors.

How the Hounds of Justice end up winning the match doesn't really matter. Either they cleanly overcome the odds, Braun or Kane turn on the rest of the team, or a surprise return or two tips the odds in The Shield's favour.

The fact of the matter is, even though they absolutely shouldn't win on paper, the trio going over The Miz and company is the only thing that justifies this main event and makes sense.

#4 Asuka must continue her unbeaten streak

WWE has done an incredible job of building up Asuka as one of the most dominant female wrestlers we've seen in modern times . Now that she's set to make her debut on the main roster during the TLC pay-per-view, they absolutely must keep that momentum going.

Who knows? They may be thinking that Emma could win via count-out or disqualification, or another woman can interfere in the match and cost Asuka the win.

Heck, they may even be thinking of shocking everyone by having Emma beat Asuka clean in the middle of the ring, but that would undoubtedly be a huge, huge mistake.

#3 More TLC stipulations need to be added to matches

More Tables, Ladders and Chairs should be added to the existing matches

Traditionally the TLC match used to be jam-packed with matches containing the titular weapons, tables, ladders, and of course, chairs. However this year there aren't any stipulations on any of the matches outside of the TLC main event.

Imagine the Cruiserweight tag-team match between Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander vs The Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher when they've been given a ladder to play with. The 205 LIVE stars are synonymous with flying high and what better way to do that than off of a ladder? It could potentially steal the show.

Imagine the Alexa Bliss vs Mickie James Women's title match where all of that animosity is allowed to be expressed through hitting each other with a steel chair or putting each other through any number of tables.

There's no denying that adding these stipulations would make the matches better and that's why the WWE should do it, especially as we had not one, but two, Hell in a Cell matches during the most recent SmackDown LIVE pay-per-views.

#2 The Cruiserweights should be given time to shine

Sometimes, it can be easy to see the Cruiserweight division as the runts of the WWE litter when in reality, they're some of the most talented ring performers the WWE has.

WWE has to shoulder some of the blame for this because they kept scheduling 5-minute throwaway matches on Raw for weeks. Only now have they started to develop real storylines for the Cruiserweights.

Part of the Cruiserweight momentum seems to have gained by the addition of Enzo Amore to 205 LIVE, but recently WWE also made the decision to have the Cruiserweights main event Monday Night Raw, spotlighting the division on the main show and giving them a proper build.

This momentum needs to be continued at TLC 2017 with all of the Cruiserweight segments given enough time to potentially surprise people who feel that TLC is just a main event.

#1 There should be an OMG moment

TLC 2017 needs a spot like this

Monday Night Raw shouldn't let SmackDown LIVE and their Shane McMahon Hell in a Cell spot steal all of the thunder. The red brand should let everyone know its capable of leaving the WWE Universe speechless as well.

The only candidate for a match that can contain such a spot is the TLC main event featuring The Shield vs The Miz, The Bar, Braun Strowman and Kane. With eight men inside the ring at the same time surrounded by tables, ladders, and chairs there's a strong chance that something amazing could happen.
