WWE TLC 2017 Rumors: 5 Last-minute rumors you have to know

A disturbance in the force that is The Shield
A disturbance in the force that is The Shield

The big story going into WWE TLC is undoubtedly the virus that is ravaging the RAW roster, with this news even seeping into mainstream reports. With the likes of Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns now ruled out, AJ Styles and Kurt Angle (yes, it’s still hard to believe) have been brought in as high-profile replacements.

Going into the show, the rumour mill is going wild, with speculation saying that another star could be ruled out of the main-event at TLC. Along with this, there are a host of other rumours, some more believable than others.

With TLC now just a matter of hours away, let’s take a look at some of the biggest rumours from tonight’s show.

5: No Braun, no cry

Could Strowman be ruled out of TLC too?
Could Strowman be ruled out of TLC too?

According to Wrestling News World, another name who could be ruled out of TLC because of the virus running through the RAW roster is none other than the “Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman.

However, there are no sources as of now confirming Braun’s absence so take this one with a pinch of salt. One thing though, with Roman being replaced by Kurt Angle (who is at best a part-timer now), having Braun being ruled out, though disappointing, will make it more believable for Rollins, Ambrose and Angle to overcome the odds and pull off the win.

4: Change of stipulation

Angle, Rollins and Ambrose will face almost insurmountable odds
Angle, Rollins and Ambrose will face almost insurmountable odds

As of now, the 3-on-5 handicap match between Ambrose, Rollins, Angle and Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Strowman and Kane is a TLC match with one fall but this could change because of Angle’s involvement.

However, with the odds so greatly stacked against the babyfaces now that the all-conquering Roman Reigns is out, there is a chance that this match gets changed to an elimination match so that the babyfaces can eliminate one of their opponents early to even the odds out a little more.

Or, there could be something similar what Miz did last week on RAW, with Ambrose and Rollins locking out one or more of the participants out.

3: The age of Enzo

Enzo Amore is set to win back his Cruiserweight Championship
Enzo Amore is set to win back his Cruiserweight Championship

Enzo Amore lost his Cruiserweight title to Kalisto on RAW a couple of weeks back but soon made up for it by attacking Kalisto along with his cohorts and destroying the luchadore. It looks like even though Enzo lost the title, he will still be pushed as the top star of 205 Live and it is likely that he will win the Cruiserweight title back tonight, by hook or by crook.

The unfortunate takeaway from this situation is the absence and departure of Neville, who was easily the division’s biggest star. Neither Kalisto or Enzo have the ability to step into Neville’s shoes with Kalisto lacking anything akin to charisma and Enzo lacking the in-ring skill.

Whatever reaction this match gets at TLC, will be because of Enzo because Kalisto hasn’t really been over since the Lucha Dragons broke up, despite having a win over Braun Strowman. With that being said, putting the title on Enzo is the better idea, easily.

2: A big interference?

Will Jason Jordan come out to help his
Will Jason Jordan come out to help his "dad"?

With the odds so stacked against our babyfaces in the main-event, something has got to give. When it was the Shield taking on the team of Miz, The Bar, Strowman and Kane, it was still not as stacked it is now.

Having the RAW GM Kurt Angle wrestle in his first WWE match in 11 years, you have to favour the likes of Strowman and Kane against him. This begs the question, how the hell will the babyfaces overcome the odds…..because there is no chance that a Roman-less Shield and Kurt on his big return will lose.

One rumour suggests that Kurt Angle’s “son” Jason Jordan, who is not on the TLC card, could interfere in the TLC match and help Kurt and his teammates win the match. Jordan’s singles run hasn’t gone as well as planned and this could be a big step for him stepping into a main-event feud even though it will be by interference. It could set him up for some big storylines in the future including a possible IC title shot against The Miz.

1: Undertaker will not return

With Roman out, it is unlikely that Taker will return
With Roman out, it is unlikely that Taker will return

Despite the rumour mill going nuts since Kane’s surprising return to WWE on RAW last week, I have to regretfully inform you guys that Undertaker will probably not be returning to WWE anytime soon, and definitely not at TLC.

The rumours of Undertaker’s return were gaining steam and Wrestling Inc. still believe that this angle will somehow involve Undertaker. However, with Roman Reigns being pulled from TLC and being replaced by Kurt Angle, there is almost no chance that Undertaker will appear on TLC tonight.

It would make no sense to have Undertaker return and the man who claimed Taker’s Yard as his own, not being there to greet him.
