Triple H hasn't been seen since Crown Jewel when he suffered a pectoral tear and was forced to undergo surgery. The Game has since returned to his seat backstage at NXT and Monday Night Raw, which means that the will be on hand on Sunday night.
Right now, The Cerebral Assassin has a number of issues ahead of TLC and Braun Strowman's status is perhaps the biggest headache, which could mean that the company is forced to rearrange their main event at the last minute. Triple H could be on hand to address the changes that will have to be made to the show and Raw if Strowman isn't able to make his return since it's unlikely that Stephanie McMahon will fly out to San Jose to be backstage for TLC.
It has also been made clear that Triple H doesn't like Baron Corbin so he would be the perfect person to hand him the news that he will be replaced as General Manager.
