- Rey Mysterio: WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio’s contract is set to expire in the summer, or just after the WrestleMania. Rey has fallen down the pecking order and also is not seen as a title contender. Although Mysterio is one of the biggest merchandise sellers for the WWE.

Ideally the WWe would have been aggressively trying to get Mysterio to pen a new deal, although that has not been the case and is seen as a message of good-bye to Mysterio.

Last weekend, Mysterio was booked for the Northern California show, instead of the Sand Diego show which is his hometown, as the officials believed that he had been booked too often for San Diego. As a result of this gamble by WWE, San Diego managed to draw the lowest crowd attendance last week.
