– La Sombra has been a very well-known name in the wrestling industry especially down in Mexico. He was signed by the WWE for their developmental program back in November.
Sombra was signed by the WWE from NJPW – where they have rumored to sign their latest stars from. La Sombra was a very well known name in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre and got rave reviews for his performances on the NJPW roster.
La Sombra comes to WWE which has seen very small number luchadors such as Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara.
La Sombre made his NXT debut at a Live Event on 8th January and wrestled with his real name Manny Andrade rather than being La Sombra. Manny being 26 years old has a lot to look forward to in the WWE. He definitely has the talent to head up to the main roster someday. It has also been reported that Andrade was working extremely hard with Sarah Stock to improve his English.
Another former CMLL star – the original Sin Cara – had quite a drab debut in the WWE with respect to the accolades received from his former employers. The Wrestling Observer noted that Andrade has received totally different reviews.
Andrade has been on the receiving end of a lot of rave reviews backstage and also from his former colleagues from the CMLL promotion. The praise was in complete contrast to whatSin Cara received.
