2. Roman Reigns vs Triple H should not end without controversy

Roman Reigns is on his way to WWE immortality

Roman Reigns is the next WWE World Heavyweight champion and an overwhelming number of fans just do not want to see it. For over a year, Roman has been elevated to incredible heights while the world has sat back and watched in awe.

How many opportunities was he going to get? How many times was WWE going to insist on spotlighting him though he was not receiving enough fan support? The answer to all of these questions seems to be “as long as it takes,” because we are on the eve of his final ascension as WWE’s next top guy.

But this is not an outcome that should happen easily.

Controversy is a tricky thing, and must be handled correctly, but this match must end with more speculation than fans can even imagine. Too much has happened on both sides for this one to finish with a simple three count and Reigns celebrating with his newly won championship belt.

This is about Reigns fighting back against the WWE’s corporate structure, about doing everything he can to overcome the tremendous odds that he’s been fighting for so long. Triple H has returned to his former role of the dominant champion, the cold-blooded killer that dissects his opponents with extreme precision.

But he’s also the executive that will ultimately control the WWE World Heavyweight Championship despite who’s wearing it. He knows that Roman will not play along with that, so he must take steps to shut Roman down permanently.

This is why Roman vs Hunter cannot end that easily. Roman has traveled the road to the top since WrestleMania 31, and he has been met with such resistance along the way from The Authority; there’s no reason to believe that will end now. Whether it’s a heel turn, outside interference, or both, this one needs more than just the elementary finish.
