3. Jake Roberts vs Rick Martel at WrestleMania 7
Gimmick matches have always been a favourite of Vince McMahon and so it was hardly surprising that WrestleMania 7 had a Blindfold match between Jake Roberts and Rick Martel.
The match was frustratingly slow and the two wrestlers used most of their eight minutes of match time to stumble around the ring and try to find the other guy.

It was a colossal waste of time and talent; Wonder where Damian was at the time?!
4. Butterbean vs Bart Gunn at WrestleMania 15
WWE had a legitimate shoot fighting tournament involving its locker room in 1998 featuring the likes of Bradshaw, Godfather and Marc Mero. The tournament was surprisingly won by Bart Gunn who came to be considered as a legitimate tough guy on the roster.
So WWE Creative had this big idea of putting on actual boxing match at WrestleMania 15 pitting their toughest guy against professional boxer Butterbean.
WWE might have thought that no body with a name like that need to be taken seriously, but Butterbean proceeded to knock out WWE’s toughest shoot fighter with one punch in the first round.
Way to go, WWE!!
5. Bam Bam Bigelow vs Lawrence Taylor – WrestleMania 11
WWE has always had celebrities appear, even in matches at WrestleMania. But only once has the Creative been so star struck as to put a celebrity in the main event of WrestleMania. That was at WrestleMania 11 where NFL stalwart Lawrence Taylor took on mid carder Bam Bam Bigelow in the main event in a singles match.
Taylor did put on a good performance, for a person with no prior wrestling experience – But it was not even close to being something worthy of a WrestleMania main event match.
Considering that CM Punk walked out of the WWE over him not being put in the WrestleMania main event, one could only feel pity for the WWE roster at the time.
