Can Bayley retain her title at ‘Mania

Wrestlemania 33 will feature two multi-women matches for both Women’s Championships and the Raw version will see Bayley defend in a Fatal Fourway match pitting her against Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Nia Jax.

These four women pretty much represent the entire depth of Raw’s women’s division and it will be interesting to see the direction WWE Creative will take with this match. If you’d asked me before Fastlane, the obvious answer would’ve been for Charlotte to lose and for her pay per view streak to be ended.

But, with Bayley ending the streak at the Rumble and the Raw Women’s Championship being passed around like a hot potato, there is no obvious direction that everyone expects the WWE to go with, and we’re left wondering what comes next?

This brings forth the possibility of a number of potential shocks and so, without any further ado, here are 5 potential shocks that could happen in Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte vs. Nia Jax at Wrestlemania 33:

#5 Nia Jax wins

It’s not yet time for Nia to win the title

Nia Jax has improved leaps and bounds over the past year, but there’s still something missing from her game that keeps her from being a truly great superstar at the moment. Add to this the fact that she was such a late addition to the match itself, and it doesn’t look like the WWE are looking to put the belt on the big woman.

The most likely outcome for Nia from this match is for her to dominate and look strong before being taken out by the other three. A strong showing at Wrestlemania 33 will help build her momentum further and lead to an eventual Championship down the line.

It will come as a huge shock if, for some reason, the WWE decides to put the belt on Jax when there are three more deserving women in the match against her. In fact, it seems like the only reason she was included in this match was because she didn’t have any other opponent for the Show of Shows.

#4 Dana Brook returns to Charlotte’s side

Could we see the two reunite at Wrestlemania?

In recent weeks WWE swerved us a bit with the dynamic between Charlotte and Dana Brooke as Dana – sick of being on the receiving end of an endless stream of insults from The Queen – decided to turn on her mentor.

The timing for the turn was quite strange, but then again, with how the Raw women’s division has been booked, there are quite a few decisions which are taken for no apparent rhyme or reason.

One possibility is that this is a long con played by Charlotte and Dana that will see the latter return to The Queen’s side during the title match and help her regain the title yet again. It doesn’t look like that’s the way WWE wants to go, at the moment, but that’s probably why it could come as a complete surprise.

#3 Ric Flair makes an appearance

Ric and Charlotte have been both allies and enemies

Charlotte Flair’s legacy has been well documented by the WWE as they take every available opportunity to mention that she is the daughter of the legendary 16-time World Champion, Ric Flair.

There have been numerous instances in the past where the two have interacted on screen as well, either as allies or enemies. Most recently, Ric was last seen backing Sasha Banks in her feud against his own daughter so for now, we can assume that the two Flairs aren’t seeing eye to eye going into Wrestlemania 33.

This brings forth the possibility that Ric Flair will make an appearance at The Grandest Stage of Them All. After all, the WWE loves bringing back legends during WrestleMania, and it would add an extra element of surprise to the match.

#2 Bayley doesn’t retain

The entire build up has been for Bayley to retain

If Bayley had lost her match against Charlotte at Fastlane, then WrestleMania 33 would’ve definitely been a victory for Bayley and the ending of Charlotte’s streak. But, with a victory at the Rumble, it doesn’t quite seem to be certain anymore.

Regardless of that, it would be quite a shock if everyone’s favourite hugger didn’t retain the title, as the storyline build up is that Bayley can’t win without the help of Sasha Banks and creative would want that broken at ‘Mania as the fatal four-way would see every woman fight for herself.

There needs to be a payoff for all this buildup and it would be quite unexpected if someone other than Bayley snagged the gold at Wrestlemania 33.

#1 Sasha Banks remains a babyface

This was one of the best feuds in NXT history

It has been building up for months now. Sasha Banks is on the verge of a heel turn that has been teased for the longest time and there is no better time to do it than at WrestleMania 33.

The perfect direction to take this forward would be for Bayley to retain the title and for Sasha Banks to snap at that point and attack her friend. This will lead to a repeat of their feud in NXT and can be the shot of adrenaline the Raw women’s division has been crying out for.

It would be absolutely absurd for the WWE to not turn Sasha heel at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
