‘Taker’s last ‘Mania turns out to be very emotional

Owens and Jericho both received massive pops as the came out. As soon as the bell rang, the two of them came to blows. Jericho locked in an early Walls Of Jericho but Owens reached the ropes and rolled out of the ring. Jericho then hit a flying clothesline from the top rope down to ringside.

The two brawled at ringside for a bit before the headed back into the ring. Jericho hit another flying clothesline before landing a couple of right hands to the back of KO’s head. Owens hit back with a nasty Superkick to get some breathing time. He landed right hands onto a prone Jericho before hitting a Cannonball.

Owens then hit a Cannonball on the apron as Jericho crashed to ringside. Owens rolled Jericho back in the ring as he locked in a trademark chin lock. He followed it up with a running PK and a senton for a 2-count. Owens then stalked Jericho as he got back up to his feet but Jericho hit back with a dropkick.

Owens then looked to hit a Powerbomb at ringside but Jericho powered out. As Owens got back to his feet in the ring, Jericho hit a flying back elbow off the top of the rope. Jericho followed it up with knife-edged chops before Owens hit back with a Package Sideslam for a 2-count.

Owens then headed to the top rope but Jericho ran into the ropes, stalling Owens. Jericho then hit a hurracanrana off the top rope and followed it up with a running Bulldog. Owens immediately hit back with a Superkick to wrest back control of this grudge match.

KO looked to capitalise with a Frog Splash but Jericho got his knees up. Jericho then looked to hit a Lionsault but this time Owens got his knees up. KO got back up to his feet immediately and looked to hit a Swanton Bomb but Jericho got his knees up once again. Jericho then finally connected with a Lionsault but Owens kicked out at two and a half.

Jericho looked to hit a hurracanrana but Owens reversed it into a Walls Of Jericho as Y2J looked to be in trouble. Owens then hit another Superkick before going for a Cannonball which Jericho somehow reversed into a Walls Of Jericho.

Following this, Jericho looked to hit a clothesline but Owens dodged it and hit a Pop-Up Powerbomb for the nearfall. Jericho then reversed another Pop-Up Powerbomb into a Codebreaker. Y2J then went for the pin but Owens reached the ropes with his index finger to break the count.

Owens rolled out to ringside and Powerbombed Chris Jericho as he looked to join Owens at ringside. Owens then covered Jericho to pin him and win the WWE United States Championship.
