WWE's Dave Batista to star in a Hollywood movie remake alongside UFC's Georges St Pierre

WWE superstar Dave Batista is set to return to the Hollywood sets after he was confirmed for a role in the remake of the 1989 film Kickboxer.

Hong Kong’s Stephen Fung will serve as the director of the sequel and UFC champ Georges St Pierre will star alongside Batista in a lead role.

The story revolves around a karate champion who is on a mission to avenge his brother’s death. He lands in Hong Kong to train with his former mentor in order to fight his brother’s killer.

The roles were previously played by Hollywood actor Jean-Claude Van Damme and former kickboxing champion Dennis Alexio. The movie was a cult hit among the martial arts fans.

Alan Moussi has landed a lead role in the movie and this will be his debut on-screen. The martial artist and stuntman has been involved in big budget ventures like White House Down and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
