Sportskeeda's take on the EPL transfer rumours of 24th July

Claudio Bravo
Claudio Bravo experienced both domestic as well as international success this year

Over the last few days we’ve been analysing some of the biggest transfer rumours doing the rounds. Premier League clubs have been very active in the transfer market as always, and could break all transfer records.

Today, we talk about the future of Claudio Bravo, Divock Origi, and Arda Turan. We have done an in-depth analysis on the English Premier League transfer rumours of 24th July.

Claudio Bravo to Manchester City

Pep Guardiola is reportedly looking to sign a goalkeeper this summer. The Premier club have been linked to both Barcelona goalkeepers Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and Claudio Bravo. Sport say Bravo could leave Barcelona for Manchester City in a €20million move despite them wanting to keep him for next season.

Experts say: There were reports in the English media that Manchester City have agreed a deal for Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, but that turned out to be wrong. There are also rumours suggesting Manchester City could try to sign Bravo.

Our take: Marc-Andre Ter Stegen was reportedly unhappy last season for the lack of playing time, and that could force Barcelona to sell Bravo. Joe Hart was unconvincing during the Euros, and that isn’t going to help him either. Manchester City are likely to sign a goalkeeper this summer, and it remains to be seen if they sign Bravo

Chances of it happening: 7/10

Divock Origi to Atletico Madrid

Divock Origi
Divock Origi has long been linked with a move to the Calderon

Atletico Madrid are looking to sign a striker this summer, after shipping Jackson Martinez to China for big money in January. Spanish newspaper ABC say Liverpool striker Divock Origi is on the wishlist of Diego Simeone.

Experts say: The Liverpool based journalists have been silent on this one, and that’s probably because they don’t see it happening.

Our take: Atletico Madrid have been linked to Gonzalo Higuain, Romelu Lukaku, Edinson Cavani, Diego Costa, and Kevin Gameiro, and it really looks a bit difficult they’ll sign any of them. That should probably also be the case with Divock Origi. Jurgen Klopp wanted to sign the Belgian whilst at Borussia Dortmund and started him in key games last season. The young striker has also done well, so it really difficult to see Liverpool selling him this summer.

Chances of it happening: 2/10

Arda Turan to Arsenal

Arda Turan
Arda Turan was out for Barcelona’s first half of last season due to Barcelona’s transfer ban

Arda Turan has failed to make the sort of impact he’d have wanted at Barcelona. According to Spanish daily Sport, Arsenal are interested in the services of Turan and should offer at least €30m to complete a deal for him. The player is expected to have crunch talks with Luis Enrique once he returns for pre-season training.

Experts say: Few English media outlets have also been reporting the same, but they don’t seem reliable.

Our take: Arda Turan still has another four years left on his contract at Barcelona, and is likely to stay at the Catalan club beyond summer. The Turkish international has been at the club only for a season, and has played only in the last six months so could try to force himself into Enrique’s plans for next season even if he is asked to leave. Also, Arsenal would ideally want to sign a striker should they spend big money on anyone.

Chances of it happening: 4/10
