The gimmick did not rule for the longest time.We all know WWE’s love for big guys and how bodybuilders sometimes precede anything in Vince McMahon’s WWE. But there have been so many mistakes and moments that haven’t turned out the way it was planned. So many guys were given opportunities and accomplishments as an experiment, but most of them failed miserably. There are a lot of things that go into making someone a great pro- wrestler. WWE just couldn’t find the pieces to that puzzle and these are the five guys who were in the midst of all that. Here are the five most undeserving pushes in recent times.

#1 Jack Swagger

Jack Swagger was immediately put in the main event scene

Certainly a rising star with an impressive wrestling background, it would have seemed that he will shape himself into one of the best heels in the business but that was not to be. He became ECW Champion, which was fine but then they made him Mr. Money In The bank.

It’s then that the spotlight fell on him and highlighted the fact that he just wasn’t ready. His mic skills and acting were not really doing anything at all. He just wasn’t a promo worker. And then they made him the World heavyweight Champion, which has since not been repeated.

#2 Ryback

Ryback’s character was put in the main event scene pretty abruptly

His stint as an NXT member by the name of Skip Sheffield got him enough believers backstage that he can be the next big thing but the moment he debuted as Ryback, the Goldberg chants began and then the squash matches were doing no good.

His chants and catchphrases seemed forced. He was put in the main event but thankfully never won those titles. Also, he broke CM Punk’s ribs. He went through so many gimmick changes after finally the management took a break and put him in the mid card, which has been tolerable so far.

#3 Lord Tensai

This heel gimmick garnered no heat.

Matt Bloom returned to the WWE as Lord Tensai. His work in Japan garnered this gimmick. He defeated John Cena and CM Punk during the phase of this push and dominated superstars for weeks, but it was quite evident week after week that his gimmick wasn’t getting over.

This gimmick wasn’t even able to garner a decent amount of heat. It wasn’t annoying, it was just plain boring. Lack of promos also hindered him. Soon, the Lord from his name went away and so did Tensai.

#4 Khali

Khali- Worst of them all.

He was just a terrible wrestler. The most terrible on this list, in fact. Actually, if there ever was a list of the worst wrestlers ever, Khali will surely make it.

He couldn’t even walk or stand still properly. He had limited wrestling skills. He was there because of his towering presence. And that and only that guaranteed a main event level push. Also, him being Indian also guaranteed the products reach to a different country and Khali being the brand ambassador.

#5 Vladimir Kozlov

Kozlov wasn’t impressive as a sports entertainer

Again, despite a tremendous background in fighting, he just wasn’t cut out to be a pro- wrestler. He was boring in the ring, trying to look intimidating and trying to convince people of his foreign heel act, but he just lacked the psychology and the skill.

He was put in the main event scene with John Cena and Triple H and looked quite awkward and odd. There seemed absolutely no act that could justify his push.
