5 WWE feuds for Chris Jericho after Bray Wyatt

Chris Jericho made his surprise return after a long hiatus and simply took the fans in his hand with the aura that he carries along with him.Jericho is still miles away from his prime but he is someone that could be put to good use by the creative team. He went straight into a feud with Bray Wyatt as it was one of the fresh options that WWE had at its disposal and so far, the angle has been going well. Also, Jericho being fit enough to wrestle twice over a week is a great sign for the fans and WWE since this might hint at Jericho being able to stick around for some time. For that, the company would have to find new feuds for the human highlight reel, so here is a look at the top five possible opponents for him.

#5 Cesaro

The Swiss Superman is currently at a standstill in terms of creative direction. His feud with Kofi Kingston is apparently going nowhere while Big E seems a bit out of the box for a superstar who was headlining pay-per-views a month back.

The Intercontinental title also is would be a waste of Cesaro’s talent when observed from a broader angle. The best thing that WWE could do with Cesaro right now would be to let him face Jericho and bring his momentum back.

Defeating Jericho would bring back Cesaro into relevance and also Paul Heyman locking horns with Jericho is mouthwatering prospect. They could make the angle revolve around Heyman and Jericho as Jericho is one of Heyman’s ECW originals.

#4 Rusev

Though Rusev started off his career squashing jobbers, the quality of his opponents have been improving recently. He faced Big E, Rob Van Dam and even Roman Reigns and also has a credible feud heading into Battleground.

The Roman Reigns match in particular shows how much trust that WWE has in Rusev and the best way to put him over would be to let him face a seasoned veteran.

Jericho is an expert when it comes to putting over young talent and Rusev would be no different. Lana in the mix makes matter more interesting as Jericho is sure to poke fun of the duo and their love for Vladimir Putin.

#3 Seth Rollins

Chris Jericho is one of those superstars who have been closely related to the Money in the Bank. In fact, he was the one who came across with the idea of such a match.

Jericho being involved in the Money in the bank picture and in turn with the Authority would open up a lot of possibilities. Seth Rollins would be free after his battle with Dean Ambrose and having Jericho to fight next will surely raise his stocks.

Jericho could raise the case that the Money in the Bank was his invention making it a classic Jericho moment. Rollins could be put over by the veteran well and Jericho wouldn’t be hurt if he suffers a loss at this stage of his career.

#2 Bo Dallas

The striking similarities between Bo Dallas and Chris Jericho were pointed out earlier and the two meeting in some kind of program would further hint the WWE’s willingness to push Bo as the next incarnation of Jericho.

Bo and Jericho are wrestlers that have good marks in the promo section and Bo could learn one or two tricks form the master himself.

Even if Jericho becomes the one who ends Bo’s streak it wouldn’t hurt the inspirational superstar since he will be getting better exposure facing Jericho. If the company books the other way around, this will be Bo’s biggest win so far making him ready for the next stage of his career.

#1 The Authority

The biggest threat that the Authority has at the moment is Roman Reigns. Though the company tried to let Cena take that spot, the lack of fans backing him made it look like a whole mess.

Cena was getting a lot of boos when he stood in the ring with Hunter and Stephanie McMahon which was not what the company wanted.

Reigns on the other hand is still learning to deliver his promos. His potential and in ring skills is the only thing which makes the fan back him. However, if Jericho is allowed to take the centre stage he is sure to be a credible opponent for the Authority.

He has a lot of experience with Triple H and a match between the two would be something that the fans will be looking forward to.
