Top 12 Superstars who need a downgrade in WWE 2K15

After predicting the top 10 superstar’s ratings in WWE 2K15, here we have listed you the 12 overrated superstars in the game who need a downgrade in their ratings this year. A lot can change over the year in the life of WWE. One minute you are at the top of your game and is the main event of the show and the next minute can’t even get near the arena. Some superstars who were considered the best rated last time around in WWE 2K14 have shown some weaknesses over the year. We certainly hope that WWE 2K15 will reflect upon these changes making the game ratings much more realistic. All the wrestlers here are rated out of hundred.Let’s take a look at the list:

#12 The Miz

WWE 2K14 Rating: 89 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 86

We start off with the present Intercontinental Champion, The Miz, he is one of the superior talents in the game without doubt but the WWE TV reduced his main event stature long ago to fill in with other stars. He was rated 89 in the last game and was just one rating less than Batista. The game developers should consider the fact that he is no longer in the main events and should downgrade his rating to 86 which seems fair.

#11 Christian

WWE 2K14 Rating: 86 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 83

Christian has had a miserable last few months because of his injury issues and a concussion that sidelined him for long weeks. His best days looks behind him and this will surely be reflected in his rating in the upcoming WWE 2K15. Last year he was rated 86, but this time around a realistic rating of 83 seems fair to him. He may be one of the easier AI’s the new players can come up against.

#10 Ryback

WWE 2K14 Rating: 90 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 85

Ryback had an undefeated streak and feud with CM Punk in the latter half of 2012 which made him huge around the fans. The arenas were filled with “Feed me more” chants as he was main eventing in many shows. If it hadn’t been for CM Punk’s match against The Rock, Ryback would have certainly become the champion in that period. Instead Punk triumphed in the feud and brought Ryback’s career to a halt.

With a collapse in television status, and far from a main event product Ryback should surely be downgraded from last year’s 90 to 85 in this edition.

#9 Mark Henry

WWE 2K14 Rating: 89 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 85

Mark Henry was challenging John Cena for the WWE Title around the last year game’s production, so he was rated higher at 89 in WWE 2K14. But his inactivity for the past six to seven months in the arena will surely have to reflect in his rating. Sure like Big Show, the players size matters in this game and the giants do get a higher rating. But, the age and injury has taken its toll on Henry and a rating of 85 would be a perfect valuation for him in the upcoming game.

#8 The Big Show

WWE 2K14 Rating: 90 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 88

From the gaming perspective, The ‘Giant’ Big Show is surely a big challenger for many players. Downgrading him too much will look like a bad idea, but demoting him to 88 looks good in the cards. He has been out of the spotlight for some time now, as his last defeat came in the Andre Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30 and against Lesnar in January’s Royal Rumble. However, this rating will surely make him stay in the main event player region for sure.

#7 Rey Mysterio

WWE 2K14 Rating: 90 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 85

Rey Mysterio has been long ineffective in WWE for the past few years and if he still features in any match, he just looks like a shadow of his former self. He has had serious knee injuries over his career and physically haven’t been able to compete for some time in WWE. With barely any action in the ring in past year, he can also be downgraded to 85 from 90, which suits him more know.

#6 Kane

WWE 2K14 Rating: 91 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 89

Kane featured twice in WWE 2K14 as the regular player and the Retro fit Kane. He was rated 91 alongside multi-time world champion Edge and Brock Lesnar. The Big Red Machine is surely a reliable and solid player but has declined over a period of time. He sure had a resurgence in recent months but rating him in the elite level isn’t going to look nice. He can be rated at 89 in the game making way for more stars like Roman Reigns who can take the coverted elite level of 90 and above.

#5 Randy Orton

WWE 2K14 Rating: 92 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 90

Randy Orton was considered to be one of the elite wrestlers to be rated above the 90 mark as only John Cena was rated higher among the full time wrestlers in WWE 2K14. Yes, Randy Orton was the WWE Champion of SummerSlam 2013 and was at the top till Wrestlemania 30. But you can’t say that he is a tougher opponent like Lesnar or better fighter than Cesaro in the game. A predicted rating of 90 still keeps him in the elite above 90 rating level and among the best players to play as in the game.

#4 The Rock

WWE 2K14 Rating: 95 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 92

WWE 2K14’s cover star The Rock was rated 95 in the game and the only reason was because he was the cover star of the game. He main evented WrestleMania in 2013 but barely wrestled in the six months before the game’s release. He hasn’t competed in any match for fifteen months in total and a downgrading is surely on the cards.

He is a legend in this game and can be rated realistically at 92 in this year’s release which seems like a fair valuation.

#3 Triple H

WWE 2K14 Rating: 93 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 90

One of the tough AI opponents The Hunter was rated at 93 in WWE 2K14. Triple H barely wrestled in 2013 and was rated 93 because of the backstage power he held. Sure, he had some main matches against Daniel Bryan and The Shield in 2014, but rating him above some main players in this game does not bode well.

He is an elite player and can be downgraded to 90, which best suits him in this game. This would help the stars of this generation’s WWE to climb up in their ratings.

#2 The Undertaker

WWE 2K14 Rating: 93 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 90

This may be a hard pill to swallow but the Deadman of last year is declining after he infamously lost against Brock Lesnar in WrestleMania 30. The loss against Lesnar broke the record held by Undertaker in Wrestlemania (before the game he held a winning streak of 21-0).

If the game developers want to give a more realistic game to the fans, then the rating of Undertaker should also be downgraded from last year’s 93 to 90. Without doubt, he is still one of the tougher forces in the game, but the age is taking its toll on The Deadman.

#1 Hulk Hogan

WWE 2K14 Rating: 94 WWE 2K15 Expected Rating: 91

Topping our list and with a rating of 94 in WWE 2K14, the legendary Hulk Hogan was among the toughest opponents ever to face in WWE 2K14. Only The Rock, Shawn Michaels and John Cena were ranked higher at 95. As mentioned earlier, Rock may be downgraded, Michaels will probably retain the same rating and John Cena have now become the face of WWE worldwide, there is no way Cena can be downgraded and will surely see an increase in his rating this year.

A rating of 91 is fair for The Hulkster as it will open up more places to grab for the new generation of WWE stars.
