5 Bold predictions for WWE Survivor Series

The former WWE power couple

Survivor Series is a part of the “big 4” of WWE pay-per-views for the year. Along with SummerSlam, Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, big things are supposed to occur. Take last year’s show for example. Sting made his debut in the WWE and Dolph Ziggler made that leap to stardom with his performance in the tag-team match.A few years prior to that, the Shield debuted on the main roster. Clearly, Survivor Series is important to the company. While Night of Champions isn’t here just yet, the rumors will begin to swirl about the event very soon. Whether they will incorporate a legend returning, a debut on the main roster taking place or a big turn of a superstar, this is a pay-per-view that can’t be overlooked. The tradition tag-team match will still take place and remain a constant at Survivor Series. That’s where the WWE has its success. By keeping tradition alive, the WWE Universe knows what they’re getting with the big match on the card. In the mid-2000’s, the Survivor Series traditional tag match was the mainstay of the proram. That’s why they brought it back to relevance last year with Ziggler’s resurgence and Sting’s debut. Furthermore, Survivor Series is expected to be great this year. Before the rumors even come out, here is a list of five bold predictions for the pay-per-view:

#5 Rusev And Lana Reunite

The former WWE power couple

WWE fans are already sick of the TMZ-esque feud. It’s simply not working and the Universe wants something different. Lana, Summer Rae, Rusev and Dolph Ziggler are all great performers. Rusev and Ziggler, especially, are talented wrestlers with a good place to start in the company. However, that’s not what is happening right now. All four stars are entrenched in a feud about who likes who and why this person is cheating on this person.

It has the potential to be immature and leave the WWE Universe speechless. That’s not what the WWE should strive for. By putting Rusev and Lana back together, it allows the two heels to work again and be successful Rusev held the U.S. title for a long time. Why can’t the Ravishing Russian and Bulgarian Brute do it again?

#4 Triple Vs. Seth Rollins

The teacher and his student

This match is simply on the tips of the WWE Officials’ tongues. They’ve teased a rift between the teacher and student, but haven’t pulled the trigger quite yet. Are they waiting for the opportune moment? Normally, that’s the best idea to have. Nothing is going to work well when its rushed. As soon as Seth Rollins turns face, his universal appeal to the WWE fans will complete itself. As a heel, Rollins is exceptional. He hasn’t worked as a babyface on the main roster, but the WWE fans have seen glimpses of it shine through the negative persona.

Take his insult towards Sheamus last week on WWE Raw. That wasn’t a heel comment, but this is where the WWE wants to be. They shouldn’t want a face turn right now. When he loses the belts, that’s when it may happen. Everything that was noted will lead to a feud between the former-Authority teammates.

#3 WWE NXT Star Debuts

A Divas Revolution

Anytime a WWE NXT star debuts on the main roster, it’s an exciting moment that should be cherished by the officials, fans and the superstar. Judging by the last few debuts, the Divas Revolution and Braun Strowman made an impact thus far. Neville, the Lucha Dragons and Kevin Owens have done their fair share on the main roster. Owens arguably has found his own success against John Cena, Cesaro and now Ryback at Night of Champions.

Will a NXT star debut at Survivor Series? It’s a great possibility, but the bold part is the pick itself. Sami Zayn, Bayley and Hideo Itami are three picks that have reality to back them up. Zayn and Itami should be ready to return around November and Bayley won’t hold the NXT Women’s title long. Any of those stars picked could have a huge impact on the main roster.

#2 Dean Ambrose Or Roman Reigns Turn Heel

A Brotherly Bond

Aside from the no.1 bold prediction on this list, WWE fans will get behind this one. Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns’ heel turn continues to remain a rumor. At SummerSlam and now at Night of Champions, one of the brothers was supposed to turn heel. It didn’t happen and probably won’t on Sunday evening either. Why is Survivor Series a great place to do it? Their relationship will hit a tumultuous point where Reigns or Ambrose will get sick of the failure and want to chase a championship.

Ambrose only held the U.S. title, while Reigns is a former-WWE Tag-Team champion Both men are deserving of a main event push and a WWE title. Sooner or later, Ambrose or Reigns will snap on the other. Survivor Series is the perfect place to do so. Then, they could feud for a few months, or even have it culminate at WrestleMania 32.

#1 Daniel Bryan Returns

Daniel Bryan

This prediction is a long-shot. Before any analysis is given, Daniel Bryan spoke to the National about his potential return to the WWE ring. “I have no idea,” he said of a comeback date. “I wish I could give you a solid answer. I feel great. I have been cleared by doctors. But getting the WWE to clear me has been a little bit sticky, given my concussion history. They are just looking out for my best interests. We are trying to get with more doctors to get me more support to get me back in the ring as soon as possible.”

For WWE fans, that isn’t the answer anybody wanted to hear. Daniel Bryan is one of the most-beloved stars the WWE has. His persistent injury woes are ailing any comeback. However, his concussion will hopefully subside soon and his music will hit. This could take place at Survivor Series. It’s a bold prediction, but has potential. There shouldn’t be a rush to bring back the former-WWE champion, but his presence would automatically boost the product. The WWE needs a jolt of lightning and Bryan could answer those needs.
