Hit or Flop : Predictions for the latest recruits from NXT

Vince McMahons promotion is clearly going through a phase where the established names are slowly handing over the torch to the younger generation. The night after WrestleMania saw an array of NXT talents being promoted to the main roster in an attempt to mold them into the stars of tomorrow. Almost all the names went on to make big statements and are continuing the good run. However it might be a bit early to say how long the latest additions to the main roster will go in terms of success. So here is a look at the possible way in which the last five recruits from NXT may turn out as time goes by.

#5 Emma

Emma was actually promoted to the main roster before the NXT invasion but still is among the last five superstars who crossed the border.

It is a bit sad that WWE decided to hang her up with Santino Marella as part of some stupid joke than giving her some time to show everyone what she is capable of doing. Emma is one of those wrestlers who could win hearts just with the way she wrestles.

Unfortunately her main roster run hasn’t been going well so far and the pink cobra didn’t help either. It’s a classic example of talent being wasted with bad gimmicks and if WWE gave her a start like his, the chances of her picking up from the pit aren’t that high.

Prediction: Flop

#4 Alexandre Rusev

WWE has this craze with big monster like guys and no one can blame them as size does matter for some people. Along with that the lack of a credible monster heel urged WWE to rip off a character from Rocky IV and give birth to Alexandre Rusev.

Rusev has impressive agility for a man of his size and having Lana by his side is another positive. However, like all big men in the WWE roster, Rusev might stumble in the long run.

In the mindset of the current WWE Universe, there is no place for someone like Rusev. If it was in the 90s he would’ve made it big in the roster but what the current fans want is some hard hitting wrestling than the power game.

Along with that Lana’s presence cannot stay forever as well which will force Rusev to lose out on the big ones.

Prediction: Flop

#3 Bo Dallas

Bo has been having his vignettes being played all over Raw and is sure to be the next addition to the Roster. He comes from NXT with an impressive record of being the longest reigning NXT champion.

Along with that, Bo also has a great family background in professional wrestling as he is a third generation superstar and brother of Bray Wyatt. Bo is pretty much great on the mic just like his brother and gives a good matchup in the ring as well.

The only thing that might hold back Bo would be the motivational gimmick that he has. On a long term it needs to be changed but Bo could flourish as an old school heel.

He is going places without any doubt since he would’ve learned from his last time’s mistakes.

Prediction: Hit

#2 Adam Rose

Adam Rose is a great wrestler, arguably one of the best brawlers in the roster right now. he showed that aggressiveness with his previous gimmick at NXT but the party one didn’t seem to be suited for his in ring style.

The gimmick that Rose currently has is Clearly over the top and would only end up being like Brodus Clay and his previous gimmick.

It’s a saddening situation just like the one with Emma where a very talented wrestler is being held back by the gimmick which was given. The party is going to be fun while it lasts but it’s not taking Rose anywhere.

Prediction: Flop

#1 Paige

AJ Lee defeated the entire Divas division at WrestleMania to retain her title. The next night a girl from NXT came and just defeated the same AJ to end her record breaking reign.

This shows the faith that WWE has in Paige. She is one of the most sort out women wrestler in the world with an experience of over 8 years even though she is only 21 now. She was once called the female CM Punk and comparisons were also drawn to Lita who had similar style.

Along with the in ring skills, Paige can deliver cracking promos with her English accent as well making her the complete package.

In a division where most of the women don’t know to wrestle, Paige is simply the savior and when AJ Lee comes back, the British starlet is going to be more over making her a sure hit.

Prediction: Hit
