WWE Monday Night Raw preview: 24 August, 2015

Will Paige be the next challenger?

StingSummerSlam is in the books. The second largest event in the wrestling calendar made headlines all over the internet, but it is now time to move forward. WWE will be back to their regular schedule from Monday Night and the episode of Raw will be nothing less that spectacular after what went down at SummerSlam.WWE has a lot of questions to answer and there are some big angles planned according to the rumors. New champions will be out to celebrate and the losers will be looking to get their revenge. The atmosphere is going to be electric and here is a look at the possible storylines that WWE might mention on Raw.

#5 Next step for Divas revolution

Will Paige be the next challenger?

The Divas had a solid match at SummerSlam. From a storyline point of view, it was a mess but as a single match, it was exciting. SummerSlam is gone and WWE will have to look forward now. The current crop of talent in the women’s division has excellent potential and they should not be wasted in a stable feud like WWE is doing right now.

There should be a desperate battle for the championship soon and WWE could start it off on Monday Night Raw. Nikki Bella’s reign has plenty of challengers right now and choosing one will be a big headache for the WWE booking team.

#4 Motives of Jon Stewart

Jon Stewart

WWE fans wanted to see a heel turn from Dean Ambrose or John Cena at SummerSlam. Instead, we got a heel turn from Jon Stewart. One part of the WWE Universe is happy that Stewart did the same as Cena suffered a loss. The other portion was complaining about how WWE botched the ending. But both parties need an answer.

They want to know why Jon Stewart hit Cena with the chair and we might get the answer on Monday Night Raw. The reason should be solid and if WWE cannot come up with something strong, then they are going to make fools out of themselves.

#3 The man who made history

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins made history at SummerSlam when he won the United States championship. He is the first ever superstar in the history of WWE to hold both the United States Championship and the WWE Championship at the same time. It was a great decision from WWE’s side to give Rollins the US Title. Rollins was on fire throughout his match against Cena and though it was a cheap ending, Rollins deserved every bit of that win.

He might or might not continue his feud with Cena, but one thing is for sure, he will be out to Celebrate on Raw this week and we will get an idea on what WWE has planned for him next.

#2 Controversy everywhere

Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

SummerSlam sold entirely on the Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar match. It was the most anticipated match of the summer and WWE ended it on a controversial note. Undertaker apparently tapped before Lesnar passed out. It opens the door for a credible tie breaker between the two, but the official decision from WWE’s side should be made on Monday Night.

Paul Heyman will clearly be making a case about his client and Undertaker is likely to show up as well. We might get to see a match being made up for WrestleMania so early and if we are so lucky, then we will get to see the rubber match at Survivor Series.

#1 What is the big surprise?

Sting

The WWE rumor mill has been buzzing about a big surprise that WWE might pull off on Monday Night Raw. There is no idea on what kind of angle WWE is looking at but it is rumored to be something very big. Some of the possible angles that WWE could pull off are the following:

  1. - There could be a full blown NXT invasion. We have been waiting for this a long time and the post-SummerSlam period would be perfect.
  1. - A return from Sting is another possibility. He could fire up the road to Survivor Series and showing up on Raw would shoot up the ratings.

There are also possible heel turns and face turns that could happen. But then again, all this is based on rumors and it could always change.
