3 Reasons Night of Champions must be the end of Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev

Rusev and Lana had a better chemistry

‘The Ravishing Russian’ Lana Dolph Ziggler and Rusev will go against each other in another singles match at Night of Champions. The entire feud between Ziggler and Rusev had a lot of potential as it was centered on Lana and Summer Rae. However, somewhere down the lane, the angle lost its punch. Currently, WWE finds it hard to attract the fans into the storyline and this would be a big problem for them at Night of Champions. The only way out of the stale storyline now is to end it at the pay-per-view on Sunday. It will be probably the best booking decision at this point of time and here are the reasons why.

#3 The chemistry between Ziggler and Lana

Rusev and Lana had a better chemistry

The reason why Rusev and Lana went over initially was the chemistry between them. The real life couple complemented each other and this turned out to be something worth enjoying on the television screens. These two excelled as a heel until WWE decided to split them apart. Afterwards, WWE paired Lana with Ziggler. Although the pairing sounded good on paper, there was minimal chemistry between the two.

For some reason or the other, Lana and Ziggler did not click together and it is about time that WWE split them. Lana could be invested somewhere else like the main event scene or could even be paired back with Rusev.

#2 Lana\'s injury

Lana suffered an untimely wrist injury

Reality played spoilsport in fiction when Lana picked up a wrist injury. She was written off television due to the same and there is no news on when she will make a return. WWE steered the storyline into weird water afterwards and it has turned out to be a major mess now. WWE is in panic mode due to Lana’s injury and ending it at Night of Champions would help Lana recover properly and be injected into some other storyline later.

The angle is least interesting without Lana and moving it forward in her absence would further make the fans frustrated. So ending it at Night of Champions would be a good decision for everyone.

#1 WWE Universe are obsessed with negativity

Dolph Ziggler has been a victim of such horrid booking way too many times

We, the WWE Universe are obsessed with negativity. No matter how good a pay-per-view was, we dig deep to find one mistake to overpower all those positives. Sometimes, this habit is a great thing, however, on some others, it could be a curse. The same applies to Night of Champions. WWE has a good card for the show and a sensitive match in the card is that of Ziggler and Rusev.

The fans are least interested about the match and if WWE decides to continue the feud, the fans will see it as a negative move. This in turn will affect the entire pay-per-view no matter how good the show turns out to be. This article, for instance, is also an example of the WWE Universe being obsessed with negativity.
