5 Greatest little men in WWE history

Throughout the history of the WWE, there has been a plethora of both small and big men step inside the ring, many achieving greatness while others failed to leave their mark. However, some of the most memorable and entertaining performers were those that seamlessly combined both attributes. Many exciting but short wrestlers (under 6 foot) have punched above their weight utilizing power moves (such as suplexes, slams, etc.) normally reserved for big men while also still boasting a range of high-flying aerial moves. So let’s take a look at 5 of the greatest little men throughout WWE history.

#5 Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan is not only a submission special, high-flying aerialist, in ring technician but also touts a large array of power moves and is extremely tough for a man of his stature.

Bryan has incredible heart and despite not possessing an over impressive physique he is extremely strong and utilizes many suplexes variations as well as other power moves along with his high flying and submission/technical wrestling. Bryan is still young and has bright future ahead of him.

The leader of the Yes Movement is an all-round world class talent and hopefully he can further help restore prestige to his recently won Intercontinental championship.

#4 Owen Hart

Owen Hart was another prime example of small superstars being more than capable of holding their own with big power moves such as slams, etc.

Unfortunately, a tragedy put an end to Harts career (and ultimately his life) as a malfunction caused him to plummet to his death in front of a live WWE audience. It was purely heartbreaking and he shall be remembered forever.

His brother Bret was another talented small man but he generally relied more on his technical wrestling.

#3 Chris Benoit

Benoit was an amazing in-ring performer who despite his height disadvantages boasted a heavy arsenal of power moves to complement his technical wrestling abilities. Unfortunately, Benoit tarnished his legacy forever due to the horrible tragedy involving his family thus he shall be (understandably) forgotten in the WWE history books.

However, it is impossible to ignore the fact that he was indeed one of the strongest little men to ever step foot in a WWE ring and arguably was the originator of Suplex City.

#2 Dynamite Kid

The Dynamite Kid was one of the first to prove that you could be small and still utilized various suplexes, slams and other power moves normally reserved for giant power athletes.

For years, Kid excited the world with his unique innovative offense. He not only used his quickness as a means for attack but also used many powerful moves that cemented him as one of the first big small men.

Dynamite Kid helped paved the way for guys like Daniel Bryan and the next man on our list.

#1 Eddie Guerrero

Eddie Guerrero was an all-out legend and easily one of the greatest to ever perform inside the squared circle. He touched our hearts and the day he passed away was a tragic one for his family and all pro wrestling fans around the world.

The Latino heat demonstrated on a consistent basis that you didn’t have to be big to pull off power moves while still displaying quickness and speed.

Eddie Guerrero was a true star and will continue to be greatly missed by several for many years to come.
