5 released WWE superstars who the fans would love to have back

WWE has done the process of cleaning up their roster on a regular basis. Sometimes, they hit the right buttons and release the worthy ones while on certain other occasions, the company makes a decision that doesn't sit well with the fans.So here is a look at some of those superstars who the fans would love to have back.

#5 Mickie James

The WWE Divas division went through a lot of struggles after the wrapping up of Attitude Era. Girls were not given the importance they deserved and at the same time, the company didn’t spend much time in building up stories for them.

Mickie James was someone who made it big in such a situation. She had six championship runs during her WWE career and was released from the company after an alleged relationship with John Cena.

She went on to have a run in TNA afterwards but it didn’t turn out to be a success story. The current WWE divas division would still use Mickie’s presence and she will be welcomed back with warm hands.

Meanwhile, let’s look at her top moves in the WWE:

#4 Drew McIntyre

It made a lot of sense when Vince McMahon decided to fire some superstars from the roster as a budget cut, but his decision to offload Drew McIntyre raised a lot of eyebrows.

Drew came into the main roster as a hot prospect and was soon built up as the ‘Chosen One’. He had the looks, skills and charisma to be a big superstar one day but his career got derailed for some reason or the other.

He did make a strong comeback by being part of 3MB but all those came crashing down when WWE fired him. Drew is a big draw these days for the European promotions and he will soon make his debut in TNA as well.

Meanwhile, let’s look at his top moves in the WWE:

#3 Shelton Benjamin

It is superstars like Shelton Benjamin that make us realize how messed up the WWE talent management is. Benjamin is one of those rare wrestlers who could make the fans cheer solely on the basis of his skills.

During his stay in the company, he was known for his daredevil side which made him do a lot of crazy things. He was an equally effective singles wrestler and tag team wrestler at the same time and it is only shocking that the company is not making some dedicated moves to sign him back.

Benjamin is enjoying a good spell in Japan right now. There were rumors of a possible return during the Royal Rumble period, but unfortunately, it failed to materialize.

Meanwhile, let’s look at his top moves in the WWE:

#2 Mr. Kennedy

Kennedy’s WWE career took off with a bang. He was getting wins over former World Champions as though they were jobbers and Kennedy seemed destined to grab the gold at one point or other.

However, despite this blistering start, his WWE career came to an abrupt end. During a SmackDown match back in 2009, Kennedy accidently botched a move against Randy Orton. Orton was apparently pi**ed off at what happened and convinced the locker room about how unsafe it is to work with Kennedy.

Along with this, there was a violation of the wellness policy from Kennedy’s side and the combination proved fatal. Kennedy was released from the company shortly after.

Meanwhile, let’s look at his top moves in the WWE:

#1 Alberto Del Rio

Recently, rumors broke out about Triple H’s hunt to find a new Hispanic star. This desperate move would have easily been avoided if the company kept Alberto Del Rio in their payroll.

Del Rio did not have a great character to be frank, but he did have a good appeal to the Hispanic fans. His family has been in the wrestling business for ages and Del Rio has proven himself as well. No matter what argument is raised against him, Del Rio deserves to be categorized among the best in ring workers in the world.

The real reason behind his release is still a mystery around the wrestling community. But no matter what it was, hopefully, he will be back in the WWE in near future.
