WWE Hell in a Cell 2014: 5 decisions that WWE shouldn't have made for the Pay-per-view

WWE creative team has been compared to the children in the kindergarten when it comes to bringing up innovative storylines. The children might know to tell a story no matter how ridiculous it sounds while the creative team in WWE is being paid for making the fans mad.The annual Hell in a Cell pay-per-view looks all set to be a causality of the same syndrome as WWE made very big flaws in the buildup to the pay-per-view.There were many botched decisions after Night of Champions which the WWE shouldn’t have made and here is a look at those ones which can ruin your hopes and expectations on October 26th when Dallas will host Hell in a Cell.

#5 Wyatt Familys absence

Bray Wyatt’s career went downhill after his feud against John Cena reached nowhere. Bray was then put into a storyline with Jericho which reaped no benefits as well. The last Cage match he had with Jericho however seemed to be something good for the eater of the worlds.

His momentum was back on track but the WWE chose to keep him away from Night of Champions for some reason. Bray and his family haven’t made an appearance since though they continue to give creepy messages.

The fans were high on seeing Bray or Harper getting a good push after Night of champions but that didn’t happen and the Wyatt Family’s absence would be felt to the core at hell in a cell for sure.

#4 The entire tag team division

WWE is yet to book a match for the tag team division at Hell in a Cell and even if they do, it would be nothing more than filler.

Night of Champions saw the tag titles change hands and Dust Brothers ended up getting the title once again. The writers could’ve made Dust brothers look like credible champions and built up something good for hell in a Cell but instead the entire division got messed up.

Usos were getting wins week in and week out while they did not get the tag title shots. Dust Brothers on the other side, continued to pick up losses. They are duck champions to say the least and even if a match is booked for them, it would have no heat whatsoever from the crowd.

#3 Building Bellas feud as a big thing

Having twin sisters in the divas division is a great idea if both women know how to act and perform in the ring. However, that isn’t the case with the Bella twins.

The promo skills of the duo are at the bottom while they are nothing special in between the ropes. And despite these shortcomings, the WWE tried to book this feud as a big main event feud. Now, if it had Stephanie McMahon in the mix, then no one would’ve blamed the writers but since Stephanie was taken out of the situation, it all fell flat on the ground.

WWE trusting two weak performers to carry a top angle didn’t work out quite well and the match they will have at HIAC is surely going to suffer due to these exceeded expectations.

#2 Another Cena Orton

Orton and Cena are two of the most decorated names that WWE has on their current roster. They’ve been around the business for more than a decade now and could sell arenas anywhere with the right booking.

The ‘right booking’ part needs to be stressed here since that is now what the duo will be getting at hell in a Cell. In the past decade, Cena and Orton have had many matches which were good while they lasted. The problem with this however is that it’s a been there seen that scenario for the fans.

They would have troubles sitting through an Orton – Cena match even if they were paid to do so since these two men are predictable and stale as competitors.

#1 Letting the title stay on Brock Lesnar

Being the World Champion of a wrestling promotion like WWE is a full time job. This was something that the WWE should’ve considered while they made Brock Lesnar the champion at SummerSlam.

Lesnar was clearly not available week in and week out and making him the champion seemed to be a cheap trick of attracting more viewers into the WWE Network. His absence has left the company red faced as they prepare for Hell in a Cell without having a champion to headline the pay-per-view.

Now, Rollins – Ambrose is a credible main event for the show but the value of the WWE championship will take a big drop due to the absence of the beast.
