WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: May 4, 2015

May the 4th will be a special day for the Star Wars fans. But as far as the WWE fans are concerned, it is just going to be another day where they will sit down and hope that WWE does not screw up another episode of Monday Night Raw.This weeks show will be brought to you from the Ball Centre Arena in Montreal and Vince McMahon will be under some pressure to deliver like always. From settling the Payback match card to clearing the air from major storylines, there is a lot of work to be done on Monday and here is a look at the possible things that WWE should cover.

#5 Bow down to the King

Although WWE ridiculously rushed the King of the Ring tournament and pretty much devalued it altogether, we still have a new king in the form of Bad News Barrett. From challenging Daniel Bryan for the Intercontinental championship to becoming King of the Ring, Barrett has some solid momentum now and will have to keep it rolling.

The plans that WWE has in store for the British Brawler will make it interesting Television on Monday Night. There are also rumors about Bryan being stripped off the Intercontinental title and Barrett might get lucky of everything goes right.

#4 The whole divas mess

The Divas division has completely shifted its focus onto the Bellas – Naomi feud. The numbers game being stacked against the heel is first of all, never a good idea, and the mistimed face term of the twins hasn’t set well with the fans. Altogether, if WWE is going for another Nikki Bella vs. Naomi match at Payback, it is sure to backfire.

The only encouraging signs in the feud so far are the improvement of Bellas as wrestlers and the improvement of Naomi as a character. This, however, is not enough on the longer run and WWE needs to add something fresh. The return of Paige or Eva Marie is highly recommended and even if this cannot happen, leveling the numbers game with some other diva would do the trick as well.

#3 What is Bray Wyatts motive?

The battle lines between Bray Wyatt and Ryback was officially drawn last week and though we know about the match going to happen in future, we have no idea on the backstory.

There is apparently no reason whatsoever for Bray to attack Ryback and he owes an explanation to the WWE fans. The internet has been buzzing about Bo Dallas being the motivation for Bray’s attack and if that is the case, and then we are bound to see a new addition to the Tag Team Division.

If not, then Bray needs to come up with some out of the world cryptic promo. Either way, something needs to happen at Raw.

#2 Ambrose The Rebel we have been waiting for?

Dean Ambrose is the closest thing that we have to Stone Cold Steve Austin, period. At SmackDown, Ambrose locked horns with Seth Rollins and was haunted by the Authority until Roman Reigns made the save.

With Reigns involved in the WWE championship scene, he is unlikely to cover the back of Ambrose for the weeks to come, which in turn leaves Ambrose alone, if he wants to seek revenge.

Keeping Kane, Big Show and J&J security busy for the Payback pay-per-view will be important for the creative team as well since the fans will no appreciate another overbooked interference filled match. So what needs to happen at Raw is, Ambrose should go all guns blazing in his fight against the Authority.

#1 Some Orton vs. Reigns action please

WWE announced that the Triple Threat match between Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Roman Reigns will headline Payback and though the bout is sure to blow the roof off, there is still a big factor that WWE could add on.

And this factor is none other than the friction between Orton and Reigns. Orton and Reigns will be going into Payback with the common aim of taking out Rollins and winning the title, and for adding another layer to the whole feud; WWE should pit Orton against Reigns on Raw. Shifting the entire focus from Rollins will turn out to be great on every level and the plug should be pulled on this as early as possible.
