Royal Rumble 2015: 5 Superstars Who should not be in the Rumble Match

The Surprise entrants have been a mainstay in Royal Rumble for a long time now and this year looks set to continue the legacy. Names like Randy Orton, Sheamus, Sting and some others are all in line to make their return at the pay-per-view but that is only the bright side of things. For every good superstar who could add some dimension to the battle royal, there is someone who has the potential to ruin the aura.Over the years, the company has tried to get some cheap pops but that should be avoided this year since they are already doomed. So, here is a look at some of those Superstars who should stay away from the Rumble this year rather than coming in and making a mess.

#5 Batista

Batista came back last year hoping to regain the stardom he once had. Winning the Royal Rumble was supposed to help him get there but things soon backfired big time on everyone involved.

The fans didn’t appreciate Batista winning the match ahead of Daniel Bryan and everything that followed was messed up as well. He took the right decision to walk away before it got too late and that turned out to be a game changer for the animal.

His Hollywood career took off brightly thanks to Guardians of the Galaxy and has roped in roles in some major franchises including James Bond. Batista should remain in the film scene rather than coming back and replicating what he did last year.

#4 The Great Khali

The Great Khali lost his job last year but there is a big chance of the company bringing him back at Royal Rumble for some cheap cheers. In the 9 years he spent at the company, Khali managed to stamp his place as one of the worst in ring performers.

He doesn’t have anything to contribute in terms of wrestling ability, but that was never the thing which motivated Vince McMahon. The chairman always loved big men and Khali was no different.

If Vince decides to convince Khali for one more appearance this year, it would be just wastage of space in the Rumble and a superstar from the NXT would be a much better choice.

#3 The Bunny

WWE has 30 spots in the Royal Rumble, which is properly filled could result in a classic outing on any day. But thanks to the highly drunk backstage personnel in the company, they decide to go with miniature bulls, miniature gators and of course Bunnies.

After being a major part of Adam Rose’s rosebuds, the Bunny was taken off television when Rose underwent a heel turn which not so surprisingly worked no wonders.

A WrestleMania match between Rose and the Bunny is pretty much in the plans. For that, the company might let the Bunny come back. To keep things short and sweet, they shouldn’t waste a valuable spot on a program that is destined to doom.

#2 Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash making a surprise appearance was a great thing at the first instance. Second time it was unnecessary and if the company drags him out for one more time, it is sure to be a disaster.

Nash was recently in the mainstream media for chokeslaming his son on Christmas Eve and it would be sensible from WWE to let him wrestle once more. They could even give his son a spot in the match just to get the headlines.

It looks like a fool proof plan on paper but imagine how stupid Nash would look like. He can barely walk properly these days and even though it’s just a Rumble, the WWE should not let Nash be a surprise entrant.

#1 Hulk Hogan

Hogan has been incredibly vocal about wanting to wrestle another match in the WWE. After being in the business for a long time, no one can blame Hogan. The spotlight and the fans are one of the most addicting things about wrestling and every wrestler wants to enjoy it.

The problem however, is Hogan’s health. He is miles away from his prime and even back then, Hogan wasn’t the best in ring worker. The Rumble match is designed to protect such superstars but still, the risk should not be taken.

A young superstar would definetly be helped if Hogan is in the scene but just like Jerry Lawler had a heart attack on live television, Hogan could put WWE into a more awkward situation.
