WWE SummerSlam 2015: 5 major twists that could happen at the Pay-Per-View

Stephen Amell and Stardust

KaneTwists are something without which SummerSlam will not be complete. Since it is the second biggest pay-per-view of the year, there will be a level of expectations from the WWE universe and having some plot twists are a great way of meeting those. Apart from the expectations, the length of the show will be a big headache for WWE.This year, SummerSlam will be four hours long. Keeping the fans entertained throughout not an easy task but then again, some twists and turns could come to the rescue. There are some bold booking decisions that WWE could pull off at the pay-per-view to make it livelier and here is a run-down on those.

#5 Stephen Amell gets some quality time to wrestle

Stephen Amell and Stardust

Stephen Amell’s presence at SummerSlam will be a major mainstream boost for WWE. The television series star has a big fan following and most of them will be thrilled to see him compete in the WWE. The WWE fans, on the other hand, would be seeing this just like all those celebrity appearances that happened over the years.

Amell is expected to get minimum time in-between the ropes and rightfully so. However, if WWE decides to give him a fair share of the limelight, then it will be a big surprise. Amell will have to bust his rear for the same but if he does get some quality time to wrestle, then the fans will be blown away.

#4 Sting Shows up

Sting

Sting was the original choice to be the tag team partner of Stephen Amell. Due to one reason or the other, it didn’t work out and WWE had to settle with Neville. The biggest take away from this is Sting’s availability. He is apparently available during the SummerSlam night and if WWE decides to make good use of him, it would produce a great storyline.

Sting could get involved in a lot of storylines. He could stand up against the Authority once more or could interfere in the Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar match. Either way, Sting would add extra color to WWE’s journey towards Survivor Series which happens to be the next big venture.

#3 Dean Ambrose turns heel

Dean Ambrose

Every hero deserves a villain and since WWE is building up Roman Reigns as their next big hero, he needs a credible villain as well. And there is no one better than Dean Ambrose to fill in that role. Ambrose and Reigns will face off against Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt in a Family vs. Family match at SummerSlam.

WWE used the term ‘family’ to describe the team of Reigns and Ambrose. This makes it the perfect atmosphere for a turn. We all know how brilliant Ambrose is as a heel and going up against Reigns could define his career. If the turn happens, it would get Wyatt Family a much needed win as well.

#2 Return of the Big Red Monster

Kane

The match between Undertaker and Brock Lesnar is not going to have a pretty ending. WWE cannot afford to let either of the superstars lose right now. So, the best way in which they could end the match is through interference. Kane is a prime candidate for the same since he was taken out by Brock Lesnar in a nasty way.

Bringing in Kane into the mix expands WWE’s options. They could try out some interesting permutations in the coming weeks and could settle for an Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar deciding match for WrestleMania 32. Kane deserves another main event run and this is his best shot at it.

#1 Sheamus cashes in on the Winner

Sheamus

The Champion vs. Champion match between Seth Rollins and John Cena has been subjected to a lot of discussion. Not everyone out there is excited about the prospect of Cena winning the World Championship again and another portion is not happy about Rollins retaining. It would be impossible for WWE to make both the parties happy.

However, they could add some shock factor into the whole scenario by letting Sheamus cash in. The Celtic Warrior could come down and cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase. It would be a big surprise for the fans and will open up the possibility of involving Randy Orton in the title picture since Orton and Sheamus are involved in an ongoing feud.
