WWE TLC 2014: 3 Possible Endings for Rusev vs Jack Swagger match

WWE’s hopes in Rusev were there to be seen when the Bulgarian Brute won the United States Championship from Sheamus. At the same time, no one has ever pinned Rusev throughout his main roster run which further raises his stock among his peers. After running through the likes of Big Show, Mark Henry and Sheamus, he was expected to be pushed into the main event scene but that is apparently not the case. The company will be rehashing a feud between Rusev and Jack Swagger for TLC with the United States Championship on the line, a decision which certainly raised some eyebrows among the WWE Universe. What’s booked cannot be undone now and here is a look at the possible ways in which the match could end.

#3 Rusevs new date

The return of Roman Reigns could happen at any point now but the big question about the angle is the opponent that he will have. Possibility of Seth Rollins will be ruled out due to the Randy Orton factor while John Cena will be busy facing Brock Lesnar.

Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose are in no mood to invite a third man as well leaving WWE with only one possible choice, Rusev. Reigns is going to get a big push in 2015 and the first step to make him look good would be a win against the Bulgarian Brute.

If the Samoan Superman shows up after Rusev’s win over Swagger, it will be a big moment for the TLC. WWE will also have a great match for Royal Rumble before making Reigns enter the battle royal and possibly win it.

#2 Swagger does the unthinkable

Jack Swagger is mediocre talent at its best. He is not the best in ring performer nor is he the best talker in the business. WWE did try to build him as the next Kurt Angle due to his athletic background but those efforts also went in vain.

There haven’t been many highlights in Swagger’s career apart from his botched World Championship reign but all that could change at TLC.

If the real American manages to defeat Rusev and become the new United States Champion, it will turn his career upside down. Rusev will be buried big time if this happens but WWE will have a new star in the form of Jack Swagger in their hands even if it won’t last that long.

#1 The streak lives

Rusev’s streak of not getting pinned might not be as popular as Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak or Goldberg’s WCW streak but it’s an impressive run nevertheless.

He could add another casualty to his list of opponents at TLC by securing a big win against Jack Swagger. Rusev is yet to defeat Swagger cleanly on a pay-per-view even though he has done it a couple of times on free television.

Rusev winning after an equally contested match would be a great thing for the fans to see considering the momentum Rusev has.

This ending will not benefit anyone on the longer run but it will keep the fans guessing on what plans WWE has next for the Bulgarian Brute with Royal Rumble approaching in rapid pace.
