WWE Top 5 rumors of the week and analysis: 11 October, 2015

Mark Henry’s retirement is coming soon as said by the man himself

Undertaker The Rumor mill was back in action this week. While last week was all about the buzz surrounding Hell in a Cell and WrestleMania 32, this time, the focus shifted to the upcoming returns that WWE is planning to pull off.Names like Lana, John Cena, Hideo Itami and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson were the protagonists for the rumors. Meanwhile, Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan were subjected to interesting claims that were made about them.On a happy note, the rumor mill had an encouraging speculation about Undertaker and his future in the WWE. With everything said, here is a detailed look at the top five suppositions from last week and their analysis.

#5 Retirement of huge stars

Mark Henry’s retirement is coming soon as said by the man himself

The rumors of Daniel Bryan’s potential retirement were sparked off last week.

Bryan is still struggling with injuries and WWE is not willing to take a risk by pushing him into the ring. If the talk in the rumor mill ends up to be true, then we could expect an official announcement from Bryan sooner or later. It would be a huge blow for WWE and the fans if the same happens.

Elsewhere, another retirement rumor that poked up last week had Mark Henry in the center role. The rumor mill suggests that Henry would be hanging up his boots after WrestleMania 32. Henry has no creative direction at the moment and it would be interesting to see how WWE books him if the speculation is indeed true.

#4 Challenger for United States Championship

The next U.S. Champion?

John Cena is all set to take a break from wrestling and unlike expected, his United States Championship will not be won by a debuting superstar.

Instead, WWE is planning to keep the title on a member of New Day so that Cena could come back and feud with the faction. It would be a terrible waste of opportunity from WWE’s side if they go ahead with the proposed idea. Of course, it will give the New Day some more momentum but it would simply throw away the chance of making a new star.

And speaking of the New Day, the best choice to take the title away from Cena would be Big E. He is someone who could have a singles career once the faction breaks up and he is also in good terms with Cena, which is an added bonus.

#3 Good news for Undertaker fans

Undertaker--A regular fixture on WWE TV?

Undertaker is all set to face Brock Lesnar at Hell in a Cell. Before the big blow off match between these legendary names, the internet dropped a huge rumor about the Deadman. According to the speculations, Undertaker will be wrestling more dates this year. Taker is physically good and is also enjoying his current booking, which refreshing to hear.

He is likely to be featured heavily in the coming pay-per-views although it is not sure whether the feud with Lesnar will be continued or not. However, all these plans could change easily as Taker will clearly take some brutal punishment at Hell in a Cell when he faces the Beast, which might change his mind.

#2 Returns planned

Lana

A string of return dates circulated on the internet last week. Lana, who has been out of action due to a wrist injury, is expected to return next month.

‘The Ravishing Russian’s’ storyline with Dolph Ziggler, Rusev, and Summer Rae is pretty much dead and WWE will have to come up with something new for her. John Cena’s return date was another talking point. The Cenation leader will take a break soon but is expected to be back in the mix by December 25th.

Hideo Itami is also scheduled to be back in action before December and his addition would be a big boost to the NXT roster. Although it is not as important as the other ones, Bunny is also expected to return soon alongside Adam Rose.

#1 Big News on Dwayne \'The Rock Johnson

‘The Great One’

WWE and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson are apparently brokering a deal which will see Rock wrestle in WWE before the end of the year.

Initially, WWE was expecting Rock to wrestle at next year’s WrestleMania but the current situation has turned out to be some sort of a bonus for everyone involved, including the fans. Rock will be seen on Raw soon and it is still unclear on who he will face on his much-anticipated return.

Brock Lesnar and Triple H are the prime contenders for the position, but there is also a rumor about Rock teaming up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to take on the Wyatt Family. No matter what the plans are, having Rock in a pay-per-view will definitely boost WWE’s ratings and sky rocket them to the heights that the WWE are is dire need of.
