WWE Top 5 Rumors of the week and analysis : 13 December, 2015

Suffering from serious injuries

Cena might be entering the twilight of his careerThe WWE Universe might be buzzing big time about TLC, but one portion of their attention is always reserved for the rumor mill, and rightfully so. There was a string of discussions that did not feature TLC and those rumors are going to find a place in this week’s Top Rumors of the week and analysis. The list includes a cruel joke that the Internet played on Jim Ross, the future of John Cena, plans WWE has for New Day, how SmackDown is going to be changed in the coming weeks and something about the legendary Sting. So without further introductions, let’s get right into business and talk about the rumors.

#5 Sting will be at WrestleMania 32

Suffering from serious injuries

Recently Sting revealed that he was almost paralyzed in his last match and this somewhat killed the rumors of his potential comeback to the company. The situation with Sting’s neck is bad and it is likely to keep him out of the ring for a long time.

However, there is some good news for the Stinger fans.

There are rumors of Sting making an appearance at WrestleMania even if he is not able to wrestle. The reason for this is primarily because this year’s WrestleMania will be held in Sting’s home town.

There is no news on what capacity he would be used by the WWE but it is always a good thing to have a legendary name in the card.

#4 Plans for SmackDown

SmackDown might go on par with Raw

WWE is having big plans for SmackDown as the show is all set to move to USA Network. SmackDown and Raw having the same network is indeed a big boost for the B-Show and WWE is going to pounce on it by making major changes.

One thing that the company is planning to change will be the overall look of the show.

There are also talks about change in the commentary team although it hasn’t been a problem to begin with. Meanwhile, the fans are calling for a brand split as we speak but it would be interesting to see how effective it would be even if WWE pulls it off.

#3 New Day set for bigger push

Bigger push awaits

New Day has been featuring prominently in the WWE programming for the past few months. The way in which they are welcomed by the fans has forced WWE to put them into multiple segments and storylines.

Apparently, New Day is all set to receive an even bigger push. The sky rocketing merchandise sales of New Day is the motivation behind the planned move.

The New Day merchandise is selling like hot pancakes and in the absence of John Cena, New Day is helping WWE to keep their sales up. There is no news on how New Day is going to be pushed next but no matter what WWE comes up with, fans are not going to complain, are they?

#2 John Cena heading in to the twilight of his career

Cena set to wrestle on a light schedule

All these years of wrestling has taken a big toll on the body of John Cena and he might be looking to tone down his schedule once he returns. Until now, the Cenation leader was featured regularly on the house shows and tours of WWE.

All these could be cut down soon as Cena is slowly moving into the twilight of his career.

Nikki Bella is also rumoured to return alongside John Cena, but the returns will be treated as two separate angles by the WWE. Nikki is likely to face off against Sasha Banks when she returns while Cena could go after Alberto Del Rio as he has a score to settle.

#1 Jim Ross is Dead

Internet killed JR last week

The internet played a cruel joke on Jim Ross last week when a rumor about his death spread like a wildfire. The rumors started when the official Twitter handle of JR was hacked.

The hacker went on to post that Jim Ross had died and this lead to thousands of people unfollowing the legendary announcer.

JR, however, soon got back the control of his account and without wasting much time, posted that his account was hacked. In a Tweet, he also asked Twitter to help him out about the fans that unfollowed him.

Killing off live WWE legends is nothing new in the wrestling business and this will clearly go into that list.
