WWE Top 5 rumors of the week and analysis : 4 October, 2015

Dean Ambrose

Roman ReignsThe WWE rumor mill was up and running last week and as usual, the internet had some interesting debates.WrestleMania 32 was one of the main concerns this week as some major matches are rumored to be in the books. Plans for big names like Triple H, Rock, and Brock Lesnar for the event were part of the discussion. John Cena’s short term future proved to be another major rumor this week. His potential absence has forced WWE to announce another big name for the live events. Some TNA rumors also poked up this time around and if it turns out to be true, then TNA will be getting one over WWE. Without further introductions, here are the top rumors and their analysis.

#5 Rumored Hell in a Cell match

Dean Ambrose

Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt are all set to lock horns inside a Hell in a Cell in WWE’s next pay-per-view venture.

And apart from this match, WWE might go on to add a tag team match as a spinoff from this feud. Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton might team up to face Braun Strowman and Luke Harper at the PPV.

The match might not sound exciting on paper, but WWE could make matters interesting if they turn either Ambrose or Orton. The viper could then go on to have a feud with the Lunatic fringe, which in turn could prove to be a great draw for Survivor Series.

#4 TNA to tape episodes in India

TNA president Dixie Carter

India has been a target for the wrestling business for quite some time. WWE managed to telecast major events and Monday Night Raw live in the country and is sending superstars over to the nation every now and then.

Vince McMahon clearly knows the potential that lies in the sub-continent and is hell bound on exploring the same. TNA, on the other hand, has gone one step further.

The wrestling promotion is planning to tape their television episodes in India. TNA had earlier set up a small promotion in the country but taping television shows takes matters to a whole different level. WWE might follow up the same, making it a win-win situation for the wrestling fans in the country.

#3 Plans for Rock at WrestleMania 32

Rock

There were rumors about Rock being pitted against Brock Lesnar for WrestleMania 32 but apparently, WWE is keeping this as a plan B.

The current plan in store is to have a match between Rock and Triple H at the pay-per-view so that Lesnar could be invested in the WWE championship picture. They are also looking to make Ronda Rousey a big part of the show.

So if Rock decides to broker a deal for WrestleMania 32, the most likely opponent for him would be Triple H. As far as the plans for Brock Lesnar are concerned, you can find the rumors regarding this in the upcoming slides.

#2 Cena taking time off

John Cena

According to the speculations backstage, Cena is all set to take some time off from WWE.

Observer reports that the Cenation leader might be out of action for a few months. If it happens, it will be a big blow for WWE. They are already going into desperation mode due to the same and have advertised Daniel Bryan for the upcoming live events.

The status of Bryan when it comes to his injury is still unknown and it would be interesting to see how WWE utilizes him.

Also, a decision has to be made about the United States Championship of Cena as it would be impossible to keep the title off television for months.

#1 WrestleMania 32 Main Event

Would it be Roman Reigns’s crowning moment?

WWE is desperate to pack WrestleMania 32 with big matches. The rumored main event for the pay-per-view will be a triple threat match between Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Brock Lesnar.

It is expected to be a direct follow up of what happened at WrestleMania 31. WWE is still pretty much high when it comes to Roman Reigns and wants to initiate his big push at WrestleMania 32 by letting him win the WWE championship.

Things did not go as planned for Reigns at WrestleMania 31 and he will be desperate to bounce back at the next mega-event. WWE holds a good record when it comes to booking triple threats at WrestleMania and hopefully they will be able to continue its good run with this one too.
