WWE WrestleMania 31: 10 Best moments of the pay-per-view

What is the best part about WrestleMania? Some say it is the matches, some say it’s the grand entrances, some say it’s the atmosphere. All of these arguments are valid but at the end of the day, what we remember are the moments. Undertaker’s streak ending, Daniel Bryan’s triumph, Austin’s heel turn, Benoit’s win, WrestleMania has given us a plethora of such Goosebumps worth moments. The fans will be split on how good WrestleMania 31 was but no one can take away the moments that it had. From Sting’s debut to the nostalgic references, WWE planned out the moments pretty well. Before we fasten our seatbelts for the post-WrestleMania period, here is a look at the best moments from this year’s WrestleMania.

#10 Cena + Springboard Stunner

Cena has five moves of doom, he has been using it for ages but he surprised everyone at WrestleMania 31 when he tore one page of Steve Austin’s book. Cena didn’t deliver any ordinary, but he delivered a spring board stunner. It was probably some kind of botch but we’ll give him some credit for it.

#9 RKO out of nowhere

What is the coolest finisher in WWE at the moment? It is an idiotic question with the headline in place but you get the flow don’t you? The WrestleMania special RKO is something that made the fans go wild at the pay-per-view and it deserves a place in the list.

#8 Sting makes his debut

To be frank, I could make up this entire list with pictures from the Sting vs. Triple H match. There were a lot of iconic moments in the bout and Sting’s debut was one of them. It is a moment that we wanted for more than a decade and when it finally arrived, Goosebumps is what followed.

#7 Ronda Rousey ladies and gentlemen

Ronda Rousey’s beating of Stephanie McMahon didn’t go as well as WWE would have wanted it to but seeing the UFC champion in between the ropes was a good thing. She has a bright future ahead of her if she decides to be a professional wrestler and this is just the start.

#6 The Sign of respect

Was it just me or did Triple H turn face at WrestleMania? After the match when the WCW and WWE legends were lined up in the squared circle, Triple H went forward and shook his hands with Sting. It was a moment that reminded the fans about the depths of respect and something to cherish in the years to come.

#5 Brahma Bull returns

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson making an appearance at WrestleMania is always welcomed with warm hands by the WWE Universe. WrestleMania 31 was no different. The Brahma bull came down, played part in a good segment and gave us another moment to take back to the archives.

#4 Monday Night wars, reloaded

WWE has used the time machine trick a lot of times in the past but at WrestleMania 31, it was pulled off almost perfectly. First of all, D generation X came down the ramp and was followed by NWo. A battle between the two stables was a dream scenario for the fans during the Monday Night Wars and that dream just came true at Mania.

#3 Triple H knows how to pull off an entrance

Like him or not, Triple H sure knows how to pull off a grand entrance. The whole Terminator theme with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s involvement was spot on and the fans were feeding in on it. And what will we be looking forward to at WrestleMania 32? The entrance of Triple H of course.

#2 The Aura of Undertaker

Undertaker was part of history last year when his streak ended. Seeing the condition he was in, no one expected Taker to wrestle again but those assumptions were put to bed by the Phenom. Taker’s entrance and match hit the target big time and though Taker is nowhere near his prime, he still got it.

#1 Ultimate Opportunist

Seth Rollins shocked the entire wrestling community with his actions at WrestleMania 31. The fans went into the match expecting to jeer Roman Reigns if he won, but instead got to see an ultimate heist by Mr. Money in the bank. He got one over both Lesnar and Reigns and became the WWE champion in the process as well.
