Thursday Night’s Smackdown event marked Sheamus’ return to the WWE. Sheamus fought with the WWE Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan in a non-title singles match.
The Celtic Warrior was highly criticised for his behaviour during the match. He was so reckless that he did not even care about Daniel Bryan. Those who saw the match live reported that Sheamus was insensitive and slammed Bryan really hard in some spots.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bryan ended up bleeding profusely and received 7 stitches to enclose a cut on his forehead ( which he may have received from Barrett) but that didn’t stop the criticism aimed at Sheamus.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley criticised Sheamus for his recent match with Daniel Bryan.
