Extremely early WrestleMania 33 predictions

WrestleMania 33 is set to happen at Orlando

It’s never too early to talk about the “Show of Shows.”

Orlando may never be the same once WrestleMania 33 comes to town. The city that Disney built will have its own version of Adventure Land of Professional Wrestling.

While WrestleMania 32 was better than it should have been – thanks to better than expected booking – a roster full of WWE superstars can only help better the product. And with the influx of talent being added to the main roster, it is only a matter of time before the company is whole again.

Will Undertaker wrestle again? Will Roman Reigns still hold the WWE World Title? How does Seth Rollins play into all of this?

There is only one way to find out. Here are some very, very early predictions for 2017.

John Cena vs. Undertaker

Will Taker wrestle one more match?

The match that never happened, that was supposed to happen and should have happened.

Now that we all know Sting wanted to face Undertaker, but will never happen, the most logical match for the Deadman is Cena.

I have not read of plans for John Cena to have a 16th title run anytime soon, but a chance to tie Ric Flair might put this match on hold. Despite the fact that Undertaker claims the match with Shane McMahon was his last, we all know there is a solid chance this match could happen in Orlando.

The Rock vs. Bray Wyatt

Will the two of the best mic-workers in WWE go at it again?

My first thought when I saw Wyatt come out to challenge The Rock at WrestleMania 32 was this was a prequel to a match at some point. Orlando might be the best place to showcase it.

While an idea of a Rock/Triple H match or a Rock/Undertaker match is appealing, I love the idea of these two stars in the ring. The contrasting styles, the microphone work and the potential for mayhem.

If The Rock is going to get back in the ring, it should be against a star who either needs a push or someone who doesn’t have a dance partner. There are many reasons to think Wyatt could be a main event star by this time next year, but the idea of such polar opposites in the ring together just seems to fit for me.

Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles

The two incredible performers will surely steal the show

This could very well be your WWE World Title match and the headline of the event. How many times have we talked about seeing these two in a ring together? How many times have we hoped for a match that will set the tone for the next eight months?

This match does that. WWE needs a calling card, another Rock/Austin type feud or a three-match series that everyone will talk about for decades. This one does it and more.

There are plenty of variables to factor in, of course the world title being one of them. Also, booking and how fans will accept Rollins back to the ring, given Styles is so over already with the crowds.

No matter what the scene, this one will sell itself, regardless of it being the main event match.

Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe

The brawl of Samoans

I love this match for a lot of reasons. I am huge fan of Samoa Joe and think Reigns is still going to be one of the men firmly in the world title picture. I doubt he has the title in tow when he comes to Orlando.

WWE can play on both of their heritage – the proud Samoans coming down the aisle. This will be a brawl, possibly a beating for the ages.

Nowadays, wrestling is missing true brawling styles where two big men beat the hell out of each other. A year from now, Joe should have established himself on the main roster as one of its top stars.

Another scenario could be these two are teammates (with the Usos) as part of a revamped Samoan SWAT Team.

Epic!

Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens

Bully vs The Beast

At some point, Lesnar is going to have to pass the torch to someone. With a limited schedule, Owens would be the ideal choice to make that happen.

Owens has talked openly about facing Lesnar and Undertaker. While a match with the Deadman might not be the optimal choice, Lesnar is surely an opponent who could give the Canadian badass all he can handle. And vice versa.

Lesnar has been portrayed for years as the bully on the school yard while Owens is the new bully in the ring who is as agile as a cruiserweight. There might be an angle where Paul Heyman – the advocate for Lesnar – at some point becomes the advocate for Owens.

Bayley vs. Sasha Banks

One more time.....(Image Credits: WWE)

Just as it should be. If you follow NXT, then you know the history between these two ladies. And you also know when they get in the ring, there is magic. While Charlotte might be the best athlete amongst the women in this division, a title match with these two would tear the roof off the arena in Orlando.

These two have a chemistry that could be as good, if not, better than Lita and Trish Stratus. The fact that they have a story to be continued and another chapter to be written makes this match a must at WrestleMania.
