Major update on Superstars contracts, Indie star to WWE, more

New clauses in WWE Superstar Contracts

WWE is said to have implemented a new line of Superstar contracts which forfeits their rights to merchandise profits if they are fired due to disciplinary reasons. This change in contracts is said to have been executed after the recent situation with WWE Stars CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio. Furthermore, there is said to be a non - compete clause in the agreement which states that the performers and personalities should wait one year before working with pro wrestling or MMA again.

In the cases of Punk and Del Rio, they were able to come to terms with the WWE, that’s because if they go to court, any judge will almost certainly side in favor of the independent contractor, who is trying to make a living. But for the stars, who don’t make ‘Main Event’ money, it will be impossible to get an easy settlement out of the company.

As noted earlier, top Indie star Uhaa Nation, who was in talks with WWE few months back, is said to have agreed on a deal with WWE.
