WWE Monday Night Raw preview: 11 April, 2016

Is Shane here to stay?

The April 4, 2016, edition of Monday Night Raw had a lot of hype just like all the episodes of Raw that follow WrestleMania. It would be safe to say that the last episode lived up to the hype considering the seeds it sowed for the upcoming pay-per-view. A handful of new feuds were kick started and at the same time, WWE allowed some new stars to take center stage.

This week, the creative team would be looking to carry forward the momentum and set the foundations for Payback. Taking forward from where they left last week would be the best idea and here is a look at the possible angles that WWE could come up with.

You cannot teach that

Took Raw by storm

WWE had three memorable debuts last week on Raw and from it, the debut of Enzo Amore and Big Cass stood out. Enzo and Cass have everything that one needs to get over with the WWE universe and they are putting it to good use as well.

Making a huge impact on your debut is not something that could be taught. With the battle lines drawn against Dudley boyz, who themselves are great talkers, the journey could only turn positive for Enzo and Cass.

Also, this week, we will get to see Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin on Raw in an attempt to follow up their first impression.

The girl with the Hart

Where she belongs.....

The Women’s championship was officially awarded to Charlotte on last week’s Monday Night Raw. While she went on bragging about her achievement, it was only Natalya that stood up to her, this points towards an essential feud between Natalya and Charlotte ahead of Payback. Why Essential? Because, of the fact that Natalya deserves to be in the title picture.

Natalya and Charlotte had a classic bout at Roadblock and in the current scenario; we are going to get a feud between these two on a much larger scale. It would be great if Natalya walks out as the champion once the dust settles down for all the commitment and hard work that she has put in.

Rookie from CZW

Ambrose has a great opponent in Jericho

The absence of Dean Ambrose was something that surprised us when WWE booked the fatal four-way match on Monday. Ambrose, who was pretty much in the title picture until his Brock Lesnar feud, was all of a sudden removed and this raised some eyebrows. However, WWE is apparently going to pair Ambrose up with Chris Jericho for a feud.

Jericho called Ambrose a rookie recently and this means that we are bound to see these two lock horns. From an entertainment point of view, this storyline has immense amount of possibility. Ambrose and Jericho are great talkers and they could talk for the entire three hours this week and fans wouldn’t complain.

The phenomenal one goes against Superman

On his way to the title?

The biggest take away from last week’s Raw was the crowning of AJ Styles as the number one contender. While it seemed like WWE was going for a heel superstar in the form of either Kevin Owens or Chris Jericho, WWE pulled a complete surprise by letting AJ take the spot. The fans welcomed the same with both arms and it is an interesting situation to be in for Roman Reigns.

He already had some huge amount of heat on him and with him now going against AJ Styles, it is going to be a tough time. Or is WWE telling us that they are going to turn Roman Reigns heel so that they could set up a return of babyface Seth Rollins? We’ll soon find out.

Future of Shane McMahon

Will Shane stay?

Shane McMahon stepped into the ring with Undertaker for a chance to run Monday Night Raw. Shane might’ve lost out at WrestleMania but he did get the control of Raw on the next night. From the fan reactions, Shane did do a great job running the show and the question now is what is WWE going to do with him next?

Shane was not taken off television on last week’s Raw and from the looks of it, he looks set to stay for some time. If he stays, will he get permanent control over Raw? or will he be simply taken out of television after a segment with Vince McMahon? Also, will Shane get a chance to run SmackDown instead? There are a lot of questions that are to be answered and hopefully all of it will be answered on Monday Night.
