Next month will be an eventful one as WWE will be hosting two Premium Live Events. Many of the roster's top stars will fly to Europe for Backlash France in the first week before heading to Saudi Arabia in the last for King and Queen of the Ring.

The tournament has a rich history in the promotion, and it feels this time around, it matters a little more, simply because this will be the first under the Paul Levesque Era. Gunther, Xavier Woods and now, Drew McIntyre, have declared their spot.

McIntyre appears to be missing Backlash France after losing a Fatal 4-Way number-one contender's match to Jey Uso after a timely interference from CM Punk.

The Straight Edge Superstar is still not cleared to compete, thus ruling out The Scottish Warrior for the event. However, he is gearing up to become the King of the Ring in WWE for the first time, three years after the last time the company hosted it.

Check out Drew McIntyre's message below:

The last event happened in 2021 and the finals were between Xavier Woods and Finn Balor. Interestingly, the bout took place in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel, with Woods going on to win it.

Gunther was the first WWE Superstar to enter into the King of the Ring 2024

On Monday Night RAW this week, Gunther made his return to the program after his Intercontinental Championship reign ended at 666 days on The Grandest Stage of Them All earlier this month.

He was not upset about the loss to Sami Zayn, though. On the contrary, he thanked The Underdog for relieving the pressure of being the one who has the target on his back. The Ring General claimed that he had gone from being the hunted to the hunter.

Gunther then got around to the upcoming King of the Ring tourney. He declared his participation in it, put the current world champions on notice, and added that he is already the "General of the Ring," and will soon become King of the Ring.

Drew McIntyre and Gunther are no strangers to one another. The duo wrestled both WrestleMania and SummerSlam last year, with the Austrian getting the pinfall victory over the Scotsman both times. The King of the Ring is over a month away, and several more WWE Superstars will be added in the coming weeks.
